I initially bought the potty seat that goes on the toilet, but DD was scared to sit on it. We were at Target one day and she saw the pink Minnie potty and begged for. I gave in, and she now loves going potty.

I bought a potty hook (to hang the potty seat on the toilet instead of tossing it on the floor) after seeing them at our pediatrician's office.

ETA: I was anti-potty until I realized that 1. having a little potty meant that my son could go to the bathroom by himself at a younger age and 2. we could take it in the car with us for road trips/traveling.

We used the Little Looster, my son still uses it at age 5, I think it helps with bowel movements.

I also did integrated ring seats in the bathroom.
