@Pumpkin Pie: bahaha me too. I'm a vegetarian. :/ I was going to say pickled ginger (like the kind that comes with sushi). I can eat it alone!

I'm actually a picky eater to the point of it being a diagnosable disorder, but I love weird combinations. Starbucks peppermint white chocolate mocha with pickle flavored potato chips is the weirdest one.

I totally thought this was a normal weird kind of thread. I was going to say fritos and cottage cheese.

But, I really love raw crab, and raw shrimp.

Maybe frog legs would be wierd to some people? Watermelon rind pickles? I'm sure there's lots of things that I think are normal that other would find odd, but I can't think of many.

And I don't do organ meats. :silly:

Chinese preserved plums (mui) and haw fruit. The only people I know who like them are people who grew up eating them. Everyone else usually spits them out immediately (heh).

@Boogs: DH loves blood sausage (called morcilla in Spanish) but I can't stand it.

According to DH, the weirdest food I love is cold pizza, but he's not American, so I'm not sure that counts. :silly:

I love liver, especially chicken liver! We almost always share a liver and onions plate if we go to Luby's (cafeteria style dining restaurant) in addition to our own meal. I think it's cow liver.

I had dinner with friends last night and they served me authentic Russian food (from a specific small region). It included liver, and actually... I love liver!

That got me thinking about the weird foods I love. I grew up eating them so they're not weird to me, and Americans usually eat the best cuts of meat whereas elsewhere in the world organ meat and less popular cuts of meat are more common.

So here are my top favorite weird meats/foods:

intestine, chicken gizzard, liver, raw sea snail (and I LOVE escargot)

I think that's the weirdest of the foods I LOVE.

What about you?
