Our niece was born 3 days before DH's birthday, so he gets completely ignored come birthday time, and I don't ever want LO to share a birthday party with someone. I'm selfish, haha.</p> <p>I def. want it to be durring the school year, I would hate to have a birthday during the summer, because at 8 years old it'd be hard to corral all of your friends for a party. Good to know I'm not the only crazy one thinking of that ;) From what I know, public schools in NYC are 12/31 but private (including charter) can set a different/earlier deadline.</p> <p>DH's birthday is 10/26 and I'm 11/4. I don't know about him but I missed the cut off and was able to test in anyways. I was always the baby in school but managed just fine. A part of me worries about having a baby close to a cut off date and having him/her be the old one in school. So my feet do swell in the heat, but they started swelling at about 26 weeks so I think it would have happened no matter the time of year. What's nice is I haven't had to buy too many clothes, just a few maxi dresses and a pair of jeans and a few t-shirts and I can wear flip-flops. We don't have air-conditioning and even so, I'm fine! So to the Southerners afraid of summer pregnancy, it's not so bad afterall...And I imagine with the air-conditioning on all the time it's totally fine.<br /> @ladyfingers: You can totally do Thanksgiving &amp; Christmas dinner for 4 at 7 &amp; 8 months. I'm 8 months now and definitely have the energy to cook big meals still.
