My kiddo is pretty sleep dependent, so we try to keep things as normal as possible. When he was still taking two naps we would try to time at least one of them for when we would be driving somewhere, so he would at least get a cat nap in the car. We definitely weren't rigid with the schedule, but he is NO FUN when he is overtired and miserable, so we try to make his sleep a priority.

We are leaving for a cruise to the Caribbean this weekend and I am so excited. However, I'm not sure what's going to happen with my 16 month old's naps and bedtime. She still takes two solid naps per day and is usually in bed for the night by 7:30. She doesn't really sleep in the stroller anymore so I'm not sure how feasible it will be for us to do long shore excursions or see shows at night.

We are going to play it by ear for a few days, but just wondering what other people's experiences have been with baby/toddler sleep while traveling. Do you try to keep to their normal schedule or just wing it?
