We have the Chicco Keyfit travel system. I can't complain- it was my sis's so I didn't have to buy one. But the infant carrier can be awkard to carry and the stroller a pain to get outa my trunk.

Chicco keyfit 30 the BOB revolution and Bumbleride Flite. The Flite is an umbrella that can also be a travel system as you can clip the seat to it. I keep it in my car and use it all the time for errands. It also has a bassinet that we used as Baby S's bed for the first 12 weeks. I love the BOB for running and walking since it rolls so nicely. It fits in my SUV. Both are easy to fold.

Lo is not ere yet, but like @sandy we plan on purchasing the graco snugride and the snap and go. Where we live, Florida, it's all driving so wanted something small and easy to open and close.

We had the graco snug ride for her infant seat and used the snap and go for the first 4-5 months. I live in the suburbs too and it was so easy to use this for quick trips to the store etc. I kind of miss the snap and go

Now we have the diono convertible carseat and got the uppababy vista. I love the vista and its giant basket but it is a large stroller...barely fit in the trunk of our Prius so now we only travel with LO in our SUV

We did the chicco keyfit 30 as well and have been really happy with it. We used a snap n go with the car seat for the first six months and it was super light and easy to take in and out of the car and on walks. We recently graduated to a BOB revolution and love it

Chicco Key Fit 30 is rated #1 with consumer reports and they also sell a car seat frame stroller that you can snap into. We have the Per Perego with a universal car seat stroller and I like it. We didn't use a stroller with our first until he outgrew his infant car seat since the car seat frame stroller was smaller than his stroller. We'll probably do the same with our second one as well. If I were to do it all over again I would get the Chicco key fit 30 and the matching car seat stroller. :) It maneuvers so much better than the one we have.

We have a Chicco Keyfit carseat (the smaller weight limit one), and a britax b-ready stroller with the universal carseat adapter.

I LOVE the Chicco carseat, the seat itself is fairly light, the newborn insert makes a newborn fit really snugly, without any after-market products. The straps are easy to adjust, and come with the cushions, and all the pieces (insert, strap cushions) are crash tested together so you know it is safe.

The Britax b-ready stroller was probably my most agonized choice. I researched a ton, and was between the Uppababy vista and the B-ready. The B-ready won out because it folded easier, and had way more configurations for using as a double (important to us because we want to have 2+ kids.

We're going with the uppa baby vista and chicco keyfit 30...however, if we were going to be folding it up a lot and taking it in and out of the car, I might go with the uppa baby cruz or the city mini instead...we don't have a car so that wasn't really a priority for us. As for car seat, it was between the graco snugride and chicco keyfit 30 and we went for the chicco because we liked how it looked and it seemed slightly lighter.

I have a britax advocate, maclaren volo and bob.

I've heard a lot of good things about the uppababy.

We don't use our strollers much since we wore our Lo in the ergo a lot. The maclaren umbrella stroller was good for mall trips though

Now that Lo walks, she doesn't like being in her stroller.

I'm not due for another 8 weeks, but we got the Chicco KeyFit 30 for a car seat. I researched the heck out of carseats and strollers that would fit our lifestyle (similar to yours) and this seemed to be the best for us.

As far as a stroller, I was going to get the travel system, until several friends advised me against getting a travel system. I am so glad we didn't because we have friends who did and their four month old has out grown the stroller already! I do run, but by the time he is old enough for the stroller it will be freezing here. Lots of people told me a jogging stroller is still great even if you aren't a jogger. I first registered for the City Mini also for pretty much the same reasons, until I started researching a little further and ended up with the Baby Jogger (same company as CM) FIT. I was shocked at how much my husband loves it! I swear we want to put a little doll in it or stroll around the neighborhood with it empty until LO gets here! Ha!

It's getting to be the time when we will need to pick out a stroller and carseat and even though we have some ideas of what we want, I thought I wod check in with you expertise! My husband seems to be set on the City Mini GT because of how easy it is to fold but I am wondering if we should continue looking.

I am currently staying at a beautiful resort for work where man of th tests have babies and strollers and I have been eyeing every single one! Trying to determine what we need/want is overwhelming!

Just a few facts about our lifestyle/needs:

-We live in the suburbs and I imagine will be taking the stroller in and out of the car a lot
- We want something that is not too big and bulky
- We are not runners but would like a rugged stroller as we walk on some varied terrain

As for the carseat, we do not have any preferences besides the fact that it is safe (obviously!) and not too heavy.

Thanks for your thoughts/preferences!
