The babies are smaller. I've heard centipedes in Hawaii can be up to six inches long!! We read a hilarious blog post about centipedes, and there were hundreds and hundreds of commisserating comments, most of which started with "Aloha from Maui!" He is the WORST bug killer ever. I remember writing this in another thread... he'll spend half an hour chasing a fly around the house, sweating, out of breath, breaking things and putting holes into the walls, and I'll be sitting here annoyed... then I'll say "oh just let me do it" and I'll get it on my first shot in the first two minutes. So the WD-40 is pretty essential for him... This is not the first home where we have had a centipede problem, but it doesn't make it any less gross. I found my first one yesterday after washing dishes-- what I thought was a bit of vegetable at the bottom of the sink was in fact a washed-up centipede. And Wagon Sr. is having a field day downstairs right now with his can of WD-40. </p> <p>YUCK. Centipedes are SO gross. I know they kill/eat other bugs but I just cannot stand them. They always scare the bejeezus out of me because 1) they're so huge, 2) they move so fast, and 3) they have so many gosh darn legs. YUCK. yuck yuck yuck. </p>
