Thanks, all! It's looking like both work well with very few differences, so I'll probably just let DD choose - if I get the wrong color, I'll hear about it every day! 😝

@gingerbebe: oh, excellent call on the Christmas lists! We also have a new baby arriving in a month or so, and I'm sure a few relatives will ask about big sister presents. If I pop a couple of glittery stickers on it, as lunchbox might be present-worthy!

We have the Yumbox, just like @gingerbebe: 's . We love it because DD won't eat sandwiches either, but hopefully she will some day and then we can get the one with the other compartments.

Also, if you can hold out, they might be good things to put on the kids' Christmas lists. We bought DS' snack size Yumbox, but Grandma got him the full size one for his recent birthday. Its a nice price point for a gift, along with Foogo thermoses and food jars.

I don't have the Bentgo, but we use the Yumbox (both snack and full size) for DS' preschool lunches. We got the tray configuration with more compartments in it (there's another that has one main section for sandwiches I'm guessing) because my son hates sandwiches. We put things like gummy vitamins, ketchup, fruit, meat, and pasta all in one container and everything stays separate and leakfree. If we need any further separation we just use silicone baking cups. Really happy with them so far.

I need to update our lunchbox collection, since DD1 has refused to eat school lunch and we are packing a lunch each day now. I'll most likely get a Bentgo Kids or a Yumbox, and am wondering - has anyone used both that can compare the two and tell me their preference? I would go with the Bentgo based on price alone, but alas, there is no pink option, which might be a dealbreaker for DD.

Currently we're using a combination of Sugar Booger 3-compartment bentos, little individual bento-style containers from Daiso, and OXO baby food containers with screw-on lids for yogurt/applesauce, but I'd love to get a one-stop container that can also handle liquidy foods (hummus, yogurt) - the Sugar Booger container really can't.

Thanks!
