There are so many other things that are more likely that I worry about (lately, a car wreck) and no local cases reported. I wouldn't travel to an affected country, but for now, rest easy! I'm in the mid atlantic, but in a travel hub so I often see people who are coming from affected countries. The mosquito has to bite someone with it and then bite you. They dont inherently carry it which means that the chance are super small unless lots of people right near you have it. I'm in a state that doesn't get the mosquito that carries it, and neither DH nor I has traveled into any zika zones since I've been pregnant. I am keeping an eye on the news though in case they find cases where the virus jumps to a different type of mosquito. DH has been outside the country but not to a zika zone. My mother is so obssessed with zika virus and keeps warning me to be careful ands beginning to get in my head. So now i'm going to the store grocery shopping and i added repellant to my list. Are your friends and family also constantlu asking about zika? Are you worried? </p>
