@Silva: with baby number 2, yes, pretty much from the start. He slept in the swaddle up in a dock a tot or at times, the swing. He didn’t like the rock n play.
At about 4 months I zipped the arms off. This second kid hasn’t had as many problems with transitions (I perhaps I haven’t made as big of a deal. I’d forget the swaddle some nights, etc. we are living abroad so I didn’t have access to my Merlin and zipadeezip and I think that was for the better). He’s just been going with the flow and just started sleeping 7-7 last week.

Another summer infant to swaddle up user. We were also lazy swaddlers with our first and much more committed this time. I’m sure it’s not the only reason but our first was a terrible sleeper and my second started sleeping 6-7 hour stretches at 6 weeks and now at 3 months regularly sleeps 8-9 hours in a row.

@Littlebit7: sure, keep me posted. did you use the swaddle up from the start? seems like a lot of people move to that after something like the swaddlepod or woombie?

I used the summer infant swaddle pods probably a little too long (because they were so easy!) and was sad they didn't make bigger ones. But my DS was waking himself up by that point with his hands that close to his face, so we moved to the swaddle me velcro ones. He was still too small at that point for the swaddle up (I bought one, but it wasn't tight enough and he would NOT go to sleep). I plan to try that one again soon though so the transition out is a little easier.

@Silva: also...if you can wait a bit...I’m actually going to post my swaddle ups for sale when I get back to the states. I fly back in 2 weeks. I can let you know when they are on poshmark. I think I have 5 or 6 to sell in various sizes

We loved woombies, we started using them in the hospital with each child and continued until they could roll. I was not a fan of the Velcro ones.

We started with the summer infant or woombie zip up "sacks" when babies were newborn, then moved to the Love to Swaddle UP once the babies were a bit older (maybe a month or so) and wanted to self-soothe. The zip up style was a little large at first so I sometimes swaddled in a light muslin, then used the zip-up sack as a final layer to prevent wriggling loose. :)

The velcro ones were WAY TOO big for my kids until they would have been well beyond swaddling age - they were useless for us.

The swaddle up. It has been amazing. You should look on amazon warehouse, that’s where I bought mine when I wanted to try it out. I also sold my outgrown sizes on poshmark so you might check there too
It is the lazy persons swaddle. It keeps their hands up by their face (so they can soothe) but also I found it to be much less of a pita to transition out of since they make the 50/50 (the arms dip off). But honestly since their arms are
up anyway, the transition was nbd
Super easy dipe changes too.
We used the halo with my first and the Velcro sucks

We used a woombie but not until baby was a little bigger. I also bought and used practically every baby swaddle product there is. The woombie that I had was too big for a newborn though. At times I swaddled in a blanket and then zipped a woombie over that. I was serious about swaddling. :silly:

I didnt like the zip ones. My kids could still wiggle around in there.

I like the summer infant Velcro ones.

Swaddle and white noise is the key to good sleep in this house!

I am a two time swaddle drop out due to sheer laziness. I've convinced myself that swaddling has to be the answer to our previous terrible newborn sleep.

So this time I'm going to get a zip-up swaddle.

Which one should I get? I don't want to buy a billion, was thinking maybe the woombie?
