He slept in the swaddle up in a dock a tot or at times, the swing. He didn’t like the rock n play.<br /> At about 4 months I zipped the arms off. This second kid hasn’t had as many problems with transitions (I perhaps I haven’t made as big of a deal. I’d forget the swaddle some nights, etc. we are living abroad so I didn’t have access to my Merlin and zipadeezip and I think that was for the better). We were also lazy swaddlers with our first and much more committed this time. But my DS was waking himself up by that point with his hands that close to his face, so we moved to the swaddle me velcro ones. He was still too small at that point for the swaddle up (I bought one, but it wasn't tight enough and he would NOT go to sleep). It has been amazing. You should look on amazon warehouse, that’s where I bought mine when I wanted to try it out. I also sold my outgrown sizes on poshmark so you might check there too<br /> It is the lazy persons swaddle. It keeps their hands up by their face (so they can soothe) but also I found it to be much less of a pita to transition out of since they make the 50/50 (the arms dip off). I also bought and used practically every baby swaddle product there is. The woombie that I had was too big for a newborn though. At times I swaddled in a blanket and then zipped a woombie over that.
