Never affected my supply but generally lots of moms notice a drop at the 9-month mark.

@mfa_lady: @hilsy85: @JoJoGirl: DD did start eating more solids in the last couple of weeks, but she does that during the day while at daycare, so I don't think that's what's affecting my pumping. She otherwise has been breastfeeding the same at night. The side effects are kind of throwing me for a loop, so it may just be the fact that I feel really off. I'm hoping things will regulate (both with supply and side effects) within 2-3 weeks.

@MrsKoala: That's interesting that it took you 2-3 weeks to get back on track! That's helpful to know. I'm experiencing all kinds of side effects right now and the dr. says it takes a few weeks for your body to acclimate to the medication, so maybe supply will get back to normal in that time. Thanks!

hmmm. I started Zoloft at 10 mo pp and bf'd until she was 16 months or so. I didn't notice that either. Is there anything else going on that could be affecting supply?

Yes, I had a decrease but it did eventually get better. I also took Fenugreek to get things back on the right track. I want to say that my supply didn't get completely back until about 2 or 3 weeks after I started taking Zoloft and the Fenugreek.

Has your LO started eating more solids? Or are you expecting your period? I didn't take zoloft but also had a decrease in supply around 9 months...

I haven't taken Zoloft, but my supply began dropping around that time anyway. I noticed a few ounces difference per day starting around 8.5 months, and had another drop a month later when my period came back.

Good luck, mama!

I started taking Zoloft a week ago (last Tuesday) for late onset PPD. My daughter is 8.5 months old. I immediately noticed that my supply tanked. I used to pump about 3.5-4.5 oz each pump session, and for the last week it's been no more than 3 oz each time. I also noticed that my DD is kind of frustrated while breastfeeding and I've had to feed from both sides whereas I normally feed from just one side. I started taking Fenugreek and drinking tons of water to get my supply back up and finally today I just pumped 4 oz, so hopefully things are moving in the right direction.

Curious, has anyone else experienced this with Zoloft?
