talk therapy really helps a lot but if you feel like you need antidepressants, i would go with an ssri.... most likely prozac since it's been studied the most.

@artbee: I do think I will probably start seeing a therapist as well. But I worry that behaviour changes could take a long time for me to really learn and utilize properly. Acupuncture may be a good thing to look into though! Thanks.

@regberadaisy: yeah my doctor said the lawsuits are just trying to capitalize on some really rare situations, and she said the risk of complications is actually quite low.

I haven't taken zoloft, but I did have to take meds for my migraines. I couldn't stand the pain, and when I have a migraine my body goes through a lot of stress. So like you, the doctor said the meds are better then the stress. I felt like I didn't have much of a choice. And now LO is 8 months old and super healthy :)

If you're very worried about taking meds, have you thought or tried something more natural first? Like acupuncture or biofeedback? Hope you find something that works for you! I know it's hard not to worry after a miscarriage. I also miscarried and worried so much with LO. Still worry about her!

Has any one been on zoloft while pregnant? My doctor is highly suggesting it for me. I had a miscarriage in January and recently found out I'm pregnant again. I am just beside myself with worry. Despite the fact that I have had two 48 hour beta tests that have been really really good, I still can not calm down. Every pain, every twinge makes me think I'm losing the pregnancy. And I can't seem to get myself to calm down. My doctor thinks that at this point my worry and stress is more of a risk to the baby than the medicine would be. Just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation.
