I started using them when she was closer to six months because that's when it got colder, and we had the fleece because it was winter in New England. Both of my kids wore them, and I had no issues with them staying on their feet. They're adorable and kept their feet warm. He is 3 weeks old and the 6 mo size fits with a little bit of room to grow, so definitely size up! A and B wore them all fall and winter last year. Once they were cruising/walking I moved them to Robeez or barefoot when we were home because the Zutano booties were slippery on our floors. They continued to wear them when we were running errands and they wouldn't be walking, though. They were really cozy and stayed on better than socks alone. I have 2 pairs right now for my almost 6 mo. He does have big feet but I bought the 12 mo size. They're all I use on him since they do stay on. Right now I have the fleece ones but plan on getting the other kind in the 18mo size for when it gets nicer again in the spring. Plus they now have ones with grippers on them for walkers. Cannot say enough good things about them. They aren't cheap but they're worth every penny.</p> <p>ETA: I started using the 12 mo size on DS2 right when he started to go to daycare so he was 12 weeks at the time.
