Don't be hard on yourself! Considering you've only had 3 weeks to get to know this little girl and you have experience with a colicky baby to compare to I'd say it's great that you picked up on the problem so soon! I hope your appointment goes well and everyone gets relief soon!

UPDATE:
The doctor wasn't sure there is anything wrong with the rectum, especially since she's gaining weight and still pooping. But then she projectile pooped (like, shot poop clear across the room) while being examined and he suspects she has Hirschsprung's Disease, which means she could be missing some nerves in her colon and would need sugery to remove that section. We have a rectal biopsy scheduled for next Tuesday to confirm or rule it out.I'm trying to be optimistic until we have the results.
