Oh my gosh I have goosebumps & tears welling up in my eyes for you!! This is looking so good--I know, you'll need to keep getting good news to feel better, but this HAS to be your take home baby.

That's great news!!!! Awesome doubling time and that DARK DARK line. So happy for you!

  17. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@pregnantbee: If I went Friday, I could get same day results. So took a big breath and went early!

  18. pregnantbee

    grapefruit / 4717 posts

    @jaguar: Yay!

  19. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@pregnantbee: I was on Cloud 9, until a specialist I met with yesterday (for IVF second opinion, not OB or anything) said he'd only give this pregnancy a 50/50 shot at viability. So... great! *sigh*

  20. knittylady

    pomegranate / 3212 posts

    @jaguar: what the heck?!

  21. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@knittylady: Right? This bigwig IVF doctor said I should basically prepare to lose this one too, because my progesterone was under 40.

(15 at first beta, 30 at second, 38 at third)

Just something else to stress me out!!

  22. Torchwood

    pomelo / 5607 posts

@jaguar: I stalk the IVF threads (hope that's not weird?) and saw your post there. I'm so sorry they treated you so awful! Between them and stilettomom I'm super ragey at how these supposed professionals think it's okay to treat people! I hope you're able to stay calm. You have a sweet baby nestled in there growing strong!

    @jaguar: what!? That is crazy!

  24. pregnantbee

    grapefruit / 4717 posts

@jaguar: SO, @Torchwood: 's comment above made me pop over and look at your post on the IVF thread. Holy crap. What jerks. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. Your current clinic doesn't seem concerned, and your numbers look great. Today you are pregnant. Hugs.

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

Yeah, it was the LAST thing I wanted to hear. I really hope this little snowbaby is in the good 50% this time.

  26. fancyfunction

    grapefruit / 4085 posts

@jaguar: I'm sorry about that doc - that seems ridiculous! My progesterone started out at 14 at 4-5 weeks. I was put on supplements and within a week it doubled to 28 which my dr was more than pleased with. Hoping all good news for your from here!

  27. LovelyPlum

    eggplant / 11408 posts

@jaguar: I did the same thing as @pregnantbee: and @Torchwood: and popped over to the IVF thread. WTF?!?! People are so freakin ignorant. We're all pulling for you and thinking super sticky thoughts for you. I'm glad you won't need that other clinic, because they're a bunch of asshats.

@Torchwood: seriously. What is WRONG with people???

  28. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@fancyfunction: Thing is, I'm already on supps & there's no real additions I can make, since I'm on a hefty dose. So giving me grief about that now (on a fully artificial HRT cycle) is sort of pointless. I'm going to stick with my clinic, who says not to worry.

@LovelyPlum: Gosh, I HOPE I won't need them! If we do, I won't be going there. I'll start hunting again!

  29. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@jaguar: For what it's worth, I think progesterone is one of the things doctors have differing opinions about. When I was pregnant one of the times I was told my level was good by one doc and low by another. And of course the interweb was varied. I can't even remember the number it was at, but I remember being confused. I wouldn't put too much weight in what the new doc said, though I know it's HARD not to!

  30. FaithFertility

    eggplant / 11861 posts

@jaguar: Ohh please dont listen to him! Those numbers are great!
Mine was 13.8 my 1st beta this time
And 17 with DD( on Crinone)

  31. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@SweetiePie: Yeah, it seems to differ greatly between doctors and clinics for sure. Just really wish he'd actually just said nothing, you know?

@FaithFertility: I'm focusing on the fact that the beta rose, which is something my last few miscarriages didn't do. One day at a time.

I feel like this could end at any second, so I'm too scared to join any groups or anything... just floating in limbo!

  32. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@jaguar: oh totally, he's not your doctor so he shouldn't have commented on your existing pregnancy. And especially not a negative comment that is purely opinion based.

    Rooting for you!

  35. DesertDreams88

    grapefruit / 4361 posts

@jaguar: like your clinic, my doctor says anything 30 & above for progesterone is great... he normally doesn't even test P especially if you're on supplements. Betas are much more important. How far along will you be at your scan??

  36. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@DesertDreams88: 7+1 at scan with obstetrician, and my clinic does a scan the following week. Eeep. I hope there's something to see then.

Just clicked over to 3+ weeks today (at 5+1 weeks) so I'm hoping this little snowman keeps sticking!

@jaguar: yay!!!! I totally hear you on the fear. I don't know if this would help, but when I was pregnant with LO after 2 losses, it helped me to think of her as a mustard seed. In the parable of the mustard seed, it's the smallest seed and grows into the biggest tree.

Come on, Olaf, grow, grow, grow!!!

@jaguar: great update. I remember getting the 3+, such a good feeling.

  39. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@LovelyPlum: I love this, and I will do my best to visualise it! xx

@youboots: I can't remember what the 3+ means, but I am hoping it means a nice double from Friday's 1092 hcg!

  40. youboots

    honeydew / 7622 posts

@jaguar: it means that you are 3+ weeks past implantation if I remember correctly.
