My DS loves to BF and I don't have a problem with it at this point except I think it's starting to create attachment issues. He only wants me, ALL THE TIME. DH rarely gets any love and I feel bad. So how do I wean him? The problem is, he nurses to sleep for nap and before bed. His other feeding is first thing when he wakes and occasionally if he wants it throughout the day. So average feeding is 3-4 times a day. Any suggestions, tips& advice welcome!!!

DD is similar! DH hugs her to sleep sometimes so that I don't have to do it every single time. Sometimes when she wakes- I started offering her milk and fruit right away instead of nursing.

I don't have great advice because I feel like we are sort of in a similar situation, but I did manage to get DD to wean off her morning nursing session simply by having DH get her in the morning and bring her downstairs and give her breakfast before she sees me. I also don't nurse before naps but she was used to that since she goes to daycare. The bedtime session though...I have no idea how to wean from that so I hope you get good suggestions!

I did wean my 2 year old when she started breastfeeding every second of the day after my baby was born. I will say that it absolutely did not help the problem of only wanting me whatsoever. She still screams like she's being kidnapped when my husband comes near her.
I weaned her by getting her a special cup in her favourite colour to offer when she wanted to nurse, and then listening to 800 tantrums a day for about a week.

We had to start giving our two year old a straw sippy cup of water as a bedtime replacement. She continued to ask all the time to nurse, and I had scaled it back to just 1-2 feedings a day. Eventually I had to just cut her off. DH would do bedtime and I would leave the room, so she wouldn't get upset. I would go 1-2 days of no nursing, then I would cave for 2 days, then get back on the wagon etc. Eventually I had to just stick with cutting her off completely. It's hard, but after 2+ years of nursing, I was ready to have my body back to myself. Congrats on making it this far with your nursing relationship! It's hard work to keep it up this long!!!
