So I've had GERD (chronic reflux) for years, easily enough managed by a RX dose of Prevacid which my dr advised I could continue through pregnancy. This worked fine til a week or so ago. As I get bigger, the RX dose doesn't do much esp at night, when I wake up to pee and have insane heartburn!! I then gulp some Tums. So I'm probably on 3 Tums plus rx meds per day!! Wondering if anyone has advice on foods to eat that could neutralize the acid. I heard aloe juice was great -- then read that it caused uterine contractions, so I will be returning it promptly. Also worrying that I am causing major throat/esophagus damage! OW!!!!!
