What items do you have in your subscribe and save list? Lately it seems that aside from diapers, wipes and body wash, a lot of the prices are much higher than the grocery store. I used to get st ives lotion on my subscription but its currently about $7 a bottle through Amazon when its only $4.50 in the store. I really like to have atleast items so i can get the bigger discount but the prices dont seem that good anymore.

We get toilet paper, paper towels, pouches, snacky items, DHs peanut butter (he's weird and doesnt like fresh ground), coffee pods, tea packets, batteries (best price ever), soap. (all of this is in addition to wipe and 2 kinds of diapers)
If I fall short an item I add something I only need once then cancel the subscription.
Remember - Amazon Mom or whatever, you always get the better discount on diapers/wipes. Even with less than 5 items.

Agree with adding items we only need once. I buy sunscreen, diaper cream (our brand is no longer carried by Target), boogie wipes.
Hubby will add Kleenex if the price is right. I think we've even done batteries before when they were on special.

@lilyofthewest: usually if you have less than 5 items you get a 5% discount on most things. Once you have 5 or more items uou get a 15% or 20% discount depending on the item

We generally have a standing order for 2 bottles of children's Advil, vitamins/supplements, I generally scan once a month to see if there's a deal on K-cups or toilet paper, diaper genie refills, diapers/pullups, and I can usually always find a deal on free and gentle Tide (the only thing we can use at our house).

Cascade tabsObvi not all of these are every month. I kind of aggressively manage my subscribe and save, and it probably doesn't save me any time, haha - just convenience and money.
Also, if there is a good deal on something that I don't really want to subscribe and save to, I sign up for a 6 month subscription so it only comes once every 8 months and then I'll have more time to cancel if I need / want.

Ditto to a lot of these strategies. I've moved away from a lot of items on subscribe and save and I think Amazon has been making more of a push to Prime Pantry vs. this service. Most of the time I go a few months between shipments by changing schedules or delaying.
I still buy:
makeup remover wipes (sometimes I put this on my list multiple times so that it counts as more than one purchase and then delay my next shipment)
batteries
bobby-pins and hair ties
pet food
cat scratcher board
eyeliner or eyebrow pencil
children's vitamins
bulk box of gum packets
razor refill headsThat's about it these days. Long ago it was diapers and wipes... which will probably start up again here come December
