Keeping my fingers crossed that there are some decent deals this year. Last year, I purchased an IP and some random toys.
This year, I'm hoping to find a lego deal (on the medium box), an extra IP insert, some KitchenAid stand mixer accessories, kids shoes, etc.

Ugh I swore off these days last time but maybe I should look for car seats... potentially a new convertible for DD and two FF harnessed boosters for DS!

DD needs the next size up Micro Mini scooter. I'm hoping I can find it on sale!
We're also considering getting an intex hot tub. If the price goes down, I might be able to get DH on board.

@mrsbubbletea: If you end up finding something great, would you be willing to share? I need to take the plunge on a harnessed booster that converts to a high back/backless booster for DD1 and possibly DD2 in order to keep my current vehicle once I move my 21 month old into a convertible car seat....but I'm dragging my feet because, ugh, carseat shopping. 
@hypatia: Oooh, you've got some good ones! DD1 wants a 2-wheel scooter, and you already know about DH's hot tub/pool obsession from a previous thread

Re: the echo dot - do you have one elsewhere your LO has used? I have to admit that while our kids really like using the echos we have in the house (not exclusively for them), it’s equal parts cute and annoying that they know how to ask Alexa to do things we don’t necessarily want her to do at the time (turn on the vacuum, sprinkler, tv; play an annoying song 8 million times, etc.). Just a fair warning, hahaha

I'll probably look at toys for DS1's upcoming birthday + a few b-day parties that are coming up. I'd love a roomba or something similar.
A few years ago I got a great deal on a Nextfit Zip so there are sometimes good car seat deals!

Last year, I bought 2 pairs of sneakers for DS to wear all year (he wears Keens in the summer months, which is most of the year in TX!). His feet have grown, so I'm hoping to do the same thing again this year, in 2 different sizes, if they are on sale again.
@LBee agree on AlbeeBaby being the best place for car seats! Just ordered a Chicco MyFit from there - no tax, no shipping, and a 20% off coupon code made it better than anyplace else!

It is JUL20 but some brands are excluded (Chicco was not, and that is what we were buying)
I actually had a $50 off coupon on the Chicco website which is 25% on the item we were buying, but they charge shipping so it ended up costing more there.

updated -- so, my friend said she was getting a crazy deal on a Britax Pioneer via amazon, but AlbeeBaby has it for the same price $150, so I'm guessing its isn't as good of a deal as she thought.

@PinkElephant: We already have two in the house he knows how to use. He asks her the weather approximately 84 times a day and he likes to turn on the light downstairs when he goes to bed, so I figured he could do all that from his room instead of running into ours, lol.

My son has an echo dot in his room, he mostly uses it to play music and ask about the weather. He's really good about not using it to open the garage door and unlock the house, etc.

@looch: @kiddosc: @PinkElephant: with the echo dot, how do your kids listen to music? Does it go through pandora, or some other music service? I’ve been trying to think of a way for my almost 5 year old to be able to listen to music on her own that isn’t handing her an iPhone. Or, she’s actually into guided meditations on YouTube or whatever but I don’t want her having a phone to watch it all the time.

@Foodnerd81: I have my pandora and I heart radio accounts linked to our dot. If you have amazon music, that makes it a lot easier and it’ll play anything they ask it to.
ETA: there are several guided meditation skills (essentially apps for Alexa) that you can access as well.

@kiddosc: hmm having her be able to go up to her room and ask Alexa for a meditation actually sounds amazing. She (and I) are working so hard on her self calming skills.

@Foodnerd81: We use Pandora and whatever we have in or Amazon prime account. Alexa is usually able to find whatever random stuff they want to hear (TV show theme songs, or songs they learn at school like "This Land is Your Land", etc. ) - plus we have some playlists.
Guided meditation for your almost 5 year old is such a great idea. I wonder if my easy-to-set-off six year old would like it.

@imadreamer: So fun fact: if the price of an Amazon item goes below what you paid for it within 7 days of delivery, you can connect with Amazon support and they will refund you that amount I've done it before, via their chat function, so I am 100% sure it at least used to work. Not sure if your timing will work for that, though?
ETA I did it last year, in July. Their policies may have changed?
