DS is almost 9 months and a terrible napper. 30-45 minutes is typical. He'll usually do two or three of these tiny naps a day at daycare. On weekends we rock him to sleep, put him in his crib, and when he wakes up 45 min later we rock/hold him for another 45. I'd like to help him take better naps because he is clearly tired on daycare days and I'd like to not have to hold him for naps.

I know that the rocking/holding is part of the problem, but since he's in daycare it is really hard to be consistent since he only naps at home 3 days a week. He falls asleep on his own for bed time, we sleep trained around 6 mos. he's still not sleeping through the night.
