@ladybee: @leighleigh: didn't get to discuss it too much. there was only one sack today, the others had disappeared. There was a lot of fluid on one side which the sonogramer thought may be at least one being re absorbed. We would have loved twins or triplets, but are so grateful for one baby. I'm definitely going to ask my dr about it at my appt next week.

Just caught up on this thread; what a huge relief for you!!! I just had to share that I had a very similar experience with bleeding, which ended up in a wait and see game for over a week while we waited for several ultrasounds (one of which was exactly the same as yours...we could see a sac, but no fetal pole). Finally, we heard the heartbeat at 7w + 2d. We now have a happy, healthy 4 month old baby girl
