@simplyfelicity: Temping uses a basal body thermometer, not a regular household one. I have no idea the difference, thought. 91.1 degrees is really low... I'm inclined to say your normal thermometer is broken. I'm pretty sure that low means you are clinically dead or at least you should be unconscious (per Dr. Google)...

Finally got a positive OPK this morning, on CD 25! I will just barely be able to test in April, though a positive might not show up till May. So excited!

@snowjewelz: after a long time, I finally figured out what your avatar was a picture of

Was feeling light period cramps and pinchy tugging this morning at 4 dpo which got me slightly excited, but it has all since dissipated

@KelLeeLeee: Hahahah yes, it's my doggie hiding in pillows lol

Don't be discouraged! I felt those pinching sensations on and off for a few days, between 1-5 DPO too but it wasn't constantly all day long.

@BakerBee: Bahahaha. Oh my gosh. Blame it on my 6 am brain. I meant 99.1. I am not too worried because it was back to normal this morning. Must have had just a really really low grade fever.

Can I just say how much I appreciate y'all? I am 8 dpo and feel super dizzy, lightheaded and nauseated...so I googled "8 dpo and dizzy" and there was this woman who asked about that on a different, popular forum and the people REAMED her!!! I couldn't believe it! I could be totally wrong about being PG and maybe just sick, but I appreciate the kindness.

@snowjewelz: Yeah, its not like I am overanalyzing what I ate for breakfast but growing a HUMAN BEING! Oh my gosh, I feel so sick, I may need to go home early. I know I am not making up the dizzy, lightheadedness and feeling like I am going to vomit (I did eat). I just don't know why...

My cheapie LH strip was much, much darker this morning. Monitor still reading "High". I'm hoping LH will be truly positive when I test after work or tomorrow. If tomorrow is o day, then I'll poas the last day of the month, if it takes a couple more days then I'll nudge in to May.

@simplyfelicity: Yea, I don't see the problem with symptom spotting, its totally harmless and fun... its exciting! However it doesn't sound like what your dealing with now is any fun, I hope you feel better or if its because your pregnant than you may not feel better right away... but it will be totally worth it!! My worse day so far was 9dpo, I felt super sick, heartburn-y and crampy that day. I am still all of the above just not all at once like I was that day. Fingers crossed for you!!

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@Brawly: I completely agree! The only person who is hurt is the one who gets their hopes up but it can be fun if you can stay lighthearted about it. This is why I love HB.

I know, I hope I feel bad for a great reason!

I am such a dork. I went home early because I was feeling awful and so I decided to POAS (my sister was wondering if I ovulated earlier than I thought since the first opk I did was positive.) Anyway, I can't believe I tested at 8 dpo...on a two hour hold at noon. Of course it was negative. There was the slightest of hints at a line but I am sure it is an evap. I am not even bummed, I just feel really silly (and, apparently, the need to confess it.) I know I am not out, I just hate that I wasted a 4 dollar pee stick. And for whatever reason, I will include a pic. I am guessing I am just sick...and pretty damn foolish.

@simplyfelicity: Don't let yourself get down. It's totally normal to symptom spot and to test early (I start every cycle at 8 DPO because I am crazy). But also don't let yourself get too down if this cycle isn't it for you (although I hope it is because long TTC journeys are something I don't wish on anyone!). If there is one thing I have learned in my 19 months of TTC it's that I can't trust my body. I have been completely, totally, 100% convinced that I was KU every single one of those cycles, even during cycles when being KU would have been completely impossible. I have only been right once, and that cycle honestly didn't feel any different than the others. It sucks, but I am chiming in to say all of this to let you know that you are totally not alone - either in being convinced you are KU or in giving into the urge to test early.

@simplyfelicity: Why do you think it's just an evap? Did it not show up fast enough? Depending on when implantation occurred, a crazy light bfp is definitely possible at 8dpo, they're just rare. And it's very understandable. I think most of us have wasted a test way early at least once.

  21. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@simplyfelicity: I wouldn't think much of it (positive or negative). Just test again in two days Fx!

You should've seen my face when I peed on a defective stick and the test line didn't even show up lol. And this was after getting a faint positive at 10 DPO, and I was like, what?!

This TWW plays with your head... We're all a little cuckoo from it

@simplyfelicity: I can't see a line on your test but if you see a like in person it's probably there.

  23. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@septca: Thank you, you made me feel a lot better. It was the dizziness and lightheadedness (totally not a word!) and pulling/poking cramps at 6dpo that got me into thinking I could be PG. You are totally right, I could be sick, be dehydrated, low blood sugar, etc. I know I feel all these things and am not making them up, but I have no idea why they occur. I seriously appreciate your wisdom and for not judging me!

@simplyfelicity: I don't see anything. Test again tomorrow with FMU!

@simplyfelicity: Oh, and for what it's worth - this past cycle I tested at 8 dpo and got a stark white negative, then got my positive at 10 dpo (didn't test at 9 dpo). So you're definitely not out It's still early

  26. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@Torchwood: I saw it early on but I am not sure if it really was a line or if I just wanted to see a line. Thank you! I am going to make my DH buy the next ones!

Hey everyone-- it's been a while but I am at 9dpo today. Feeling cramps and pretty sure AF is on her way.

For whatever reason-my pms symptoms have changed also and it is so frustrating. I used to get sore boobs immediately after ovulation, and now they don't hurt at all. They just feel full.... Had a temp increase this morning at 9dpo-- but am feeling so out because of these cramps and I got a BFN.

DH is having a SA in the AM- hopefully, well have some answers!!!

Quick question: I had an HSG at the beginning of my cycle-- and it pushed back my ovulation a few days. Did anyone else experience that?

  31. MrsKRB

    nectarine / 2465 posts

@Lady Hibiscus: a BFN at 9 dpo means nothing! Maybe your change in symptoms is because you have a little one in there with you

  32. Lady Hibiscus

    cherry / 108 posts

Haha- I would be tickled if that were the case,KelleeLeee. The cramps def feel like AF cramps--- I hate the TWW!!!! I wish I could immediately find out if speem met egg and if not just restart the whole cycle--its so much time wasted!!!

  33. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@Lady Hibiscus: Seriously! Why can't we just get a text after BD that says "You're pregnant!" I got a BFN today too at 8dpo.

  34. Lady Hibiscus

@Simplyfelicity I am with you my friend--- hopefully, one day our patience will pay off

  35. Torchwood

    pomelo / 5607 posts

@Lady Hibiscus: For what it's worth, I had cramping IDENTICAL to my AF cramps with all of my pregnancies. It was actually the worst with this one, and it's the one that (so far) stuck! The first time I was 100% sure I was out because of it, and I was wrong! After that, I didn't assume anything based on cramps. I also had zero breast tenderness until well after my bfp's. Fingers crossed for you!

  36. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@Lady Hibiscus: True that! When do you POAS?

  37. Lady Hibiscus

    cherry / 108 posts

@torchwood- so good to know--- I hope my cycle is going the direction of yours!! That would be awesome!!I have no idea what is normal for my body anymore---

@simplyfelicity- I am supposed to tomorrow but it will only be 10dpo--- my hsg delayed my ovulation by 4 days-- so I think I'll check again over the weekend. The cramps have now strangely stopped. Now I just feel like I ate too much. I'm going to have a teensy bit of wine n the unlikely event that it is the month and this is my last chance.

  38. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@Lady Hibiscus: I hear ya! I had tons of cramps at 6dpo...it was like a weird tugging/pulling feeling.I and haven't felt much in the way of cramping since then. I feel bloated too but I often do. Drink until it's pink!

  39. simplyfelicity

I know some people are in the "pee on all the things" camp and others just wait for AF (I can't do that because stress really affects my cycle.) Anyway, I found this blog from a fertility doctor about who is POAS is good for and who its not. I actually found this helpful. I am not a person who can put something out of their mind, I mull mull mull. Other people, however, find that avoiding it works best...I wish I could be like that http://theinfertilitytherapist.blogspot.com/2011/02/to-poas-or-not-to-poas-psychological.html?m=1
