April Showers; it's raining BFP's! April POAS thread

Opk still negative, monitor still at high, not peak. I'm on CD14, so it isn't as though o is even properly late, but, I've been increasingly disappointed since CD11.

The weird long cycle post IUD removal was a little frustrating, but, not unexpected. It's not very reasonable of me to expect this cycle to completely and totally revert to the way my cycles were 10 years ago on this second cycle. But, that's what I was doing.

Hopefully it just shows up before sweetie goes out of town on the 30th. And I suppose every day that passes without o is one day further from an Xmas due date.

@lilyofthewest: I completely know how you feel! It is so frustrating waiting for O when you don't know what your cycle is doing. I hope you ovulate soon!

    @eabae: Thanks!

I think i'm 10 DPO today, but I might be wrong. Test was this AM. I'm not sweating it...and I'm not taking any pee sticks with me for Easter, but I'll probably POAS when I get home on Sunday.

Thanks ladies! I'm at 10dpo and got a bfn this morning on a wondfo--- i may retest on Sunday to be sure.... But I'm pretty sure that AF is on her wicked way!!!

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Lady Hibiscus: You never know! Some testers here get late BFPs! My line at 10 DPO was super duper faint.

  8. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@snowjewelz: Didn't whenoceansrise get a negative at 10dpo and positive at 12? I am holding onto hope! I got a negative on a dollar store test. I wasn't expecting one but I was curious.

The part that sucks is thinking of how involved this all is and having to do it all over again next cycle.

  9. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@simplyfelicity: Yep! It really depends on when you implant. Some people can get a faint positive at 8 DPO! Some people have to wait till at least 12 DPO or even later...

Don't think like that! A new cycle is a new chance

@snowjewelz: oh, I know, I just mean that its so exhausting! I will likely have a different approach next month but I have a feeling that this whole thing (TTC) is just nuts!

So how does it work after implantation and pregnancy hormone levels?

  11. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@simplyfelicity: Pretty much! Sorry I'm being so brief, I feel nauseous & I'm exhausted even tho I slept for like 9 hours

TTC is really nuts... If it gets to be too much, just take a step back and know that what's meant to happen, will happen with or without the craziness!

@simplyfelicity: you start producing hcg after you implant. Your hcg should double every 48 hours. Implantation happens between 6-12 dpo so that's why a lot of people don't get positive tests until 13-14 dpo.

@simplyfelicity: It's rough, I'm not gonna lie. Stressing about timing and OPKs and CM and then somehow muddling through the TWW each month... it really wears on you. But once you get a better sense of your cycle, the time leading up to O is much less stressful. And I like to plan little things for the TWW each month - drinks out with friends, sushi for dinner, an extra glass of wine or coffee just because I want it... it helps me get through when I am cherishing things I know I couldn't do KU.

    @winniebee: Ok, I gotcha! Thanks!:)

How much time is usually between implantation and a BFP?

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@septca: As always, I appreciate your help! I swear you are a guru! It's only my first cycle TTC and I am definitely not "woe is me" but more "oh my goodness this ish is crazy and I am going to do it over and over?!?!?!"

  18. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@simplyfelicity: I think it depends but I'm guessing at least 2 days. I think I implanted at 6 dpo and got a positive on 9 dpo.

  19. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@simplyfelicity: Dr. Google says HCG can be detected by the most sensitive test available (aka a FRER) within 2-3 days after implantation.

I seriously see why people get wondfos now!

My mom and I had a little Easter Egg Hunt for my niece and nephew today and I needed to lie down because I felt so dizzy and lightheaded (like yesterday.) My mom found me, asked what was wrong and (without telling her we were trying or anything like that,) she said "you are probably pregnant." Oy! She has had four kids...

    Maybe I am PUPO!

  23. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

Dumb question, but what is PUPO?

  26. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@septca: haha, totally is. But it worked for me! Sometimes I just needed some positive thinking to get through the TWW, so being PUPO was it for me this last cycle!

@Adira: I've totally been stealing that this cycle, and it's made me soooo much more relaxed, I have no desire to test

  29. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@septca: normally people say PUPO when they have IVF because they literally are pregnant until proven otherwise.

  30. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@septca: makes sense since you actually are
    Pregnant

  31. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@septca: For some reason, telling myself I was PUPO definitely made me feel more relaxed during the TWW. Although some days I'd lapse back and be totally neurotic.

And yes, like @littlek: mentions - I believe it is usually a term reserved for those who have gone through IVF. I stole it. I hope that's not offensive...

  32. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@septca: ugh I know I knew from 9 dpo and now I feel like I have been pregnant forever and am not even 5w! Getting past AF date felt like a huge milestone though

  33. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@littlek: thanks for chiming in with that. I had never heard that term before. It makes sense in the IVF context.

  34. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@Adira: It is? I had no idea! That makes more sense! I @KelLeeLeee: I am not sure why that helps but it totally does! I am still remaining cautiously optimistic!
@septca: The first time I heard it was here at HB. It does seem dangerous though I say it with a grain of salt.

@simplyfelicity: where do you get a FRER for $4? Geeze here it's $18 for 2.
@septca: I couldn't figure out PUOP for the life of me hahah

Feeling slightly bummed, it's CD18 and still haven't O'd. I thought I had on CD14 but I haven't had a temp rise at all. It's been really rocky temps this month. I knew that as it was my first cycle PP that it wasn't going to be like before, but I still had hope that I'd be a lucky one. Wish I had a clearblue fertility monitor! My OPK's are all over the place. A few days ago you could have argued that it was positive ( it wasn't but so so close.) Then they faded, then started to go darker. Last night there was hardly even a line. Maybe they'll pick back up this weekend. We have company with us until Tues so it'll be hard to get the BD'ing going. Ohhh well.. Happy easter weekend everyone!

@MrsB2012: I got two for 9 dollars at Walmart. They had a sticky coupon on them, so they were only 8. I also got a dollar off coupon in this pack.
