Middle in both HB and IRL. I had E at 32 and J at 35. Some high school and college friends have high schoolers. Most have infants to elementary schoolers from both groups.

Old, but I am totally okay with that. It's the road my life took.

Middle. First at 29, second at 32, third at 35.
I'll kinda see it from both sides. With my first I was slightly younger than most other moms in the area, at 35 I'll be slightly older.
In my oldest LOs class it seems like a timeline for a lot - had their first right around 30 and their last around 35 or so. Though there's parents on both sides of that as well

I feel young compared to other preschool parents, about middle among friends

I'd say middle. I had DS at 32 and most of my friends had kids around the same time.

In general, I feel about in the middle (I'll be 29). However, among friends from high school and college I'm far on the early side. Few have had kids at this point overall, and I'm the first of my close friends. I predict it'll ramp up pretty soon, though. The same happened with marriage -- we were the first, but within the next couple of years, a ton of weddings started happening (and are still happening).

younger mom here. Definitely one of the youngest at LO's daycare. my ideal goal has always been to be done having kids by 35

Average in my social circle but older than average in general with first LO at 32.

I was 32 when I had my twins, so I don't consider that old.
Compared to my friends and family who have kids, yes, I'm older than when they had kids.
I still don't know what I would consider myself.

I'd say young/middle.. Had my babies at age 26, 28, and 30.
Most of my mom friends are mid-30s, daycare moms are mid/late-30s.

Very old within my family. About right in DH's. Old for where I grew up. All my uni friends started having kids about a year after I did. I had my first at 32 and my second a week after turning 35. We will likely TTC again soon, a few months after turning 36.

Middle on HB, younger IRL.
I had my first at 27 and second at 29. Having any kids under 30 is considered young around here. Most people I know start trying for kids in their early to mid-30s.

Old IRL, feel kinda ancient on HB, but right on time for me/us. Well, we would've loved to have avoided IF but we were lucky that it only set us back a year or so. I'm 40.

First at 27, will be 30 for my second. I'm young within my friends and co-workers but around my area (south!) I'd say older middle.

Middle for real life (had my kids at 33 and 36). I seem to be on the older end of HB.

I think the average age for first time moms is around 26 so I am an old mom. Especially feeling it this (third) time around.

Definitely on the older side for HB, and maybe a bit IRL: DD at 35 and currently pregnant with DS at 38.

Old for HB, average for my group of friends. I was 35 when LO was born.

Most of my high school and college friends got master's degrees before having children (as did I). By that standard, I'm a young mom. My first was born when I was 28. She's 4 now and I also have a 8 month old (born when I was 31).

I think middle-ish. I had just turned 28 when DD1 was born, and will about to turn 30 when DD2 gets here.
I'm totally on the same schedule as most of my coworkers, but most of our friends are still single or just getting married. So, young in our circle of friends.

In DC I'm a teen mom lol. The average first time mom is 37, and I had LO at 27. My job always teases me I'm a "baby" having babies.

I think I'm a 'somewhere in the middle mom'. My DH and I are having our first at the end of this year. I'll be 28. We have lots of friends that had their kids in between 21-25 and we have some friends who don't have any kids yet and are our age.

I love reading all these responses. I'll be having my first at 33 and I still feel way too young!

I guess young/middle. I had my DD a couple months before I turned 27. For where I live, this seems to be on the younger side, but it feels pretty normal to me. A lot of people I went to high school/university with are also having babies.

@Pumuckl: Twins! When in pregnancy did you find out? Congratulations!

Smack in the middle all round, first baby at 30, second at 32 (almost 33) and will hopefully have number three at 35ish.

ollllldddd 37 with my 1st, 40 with my 2nd. i'd say most of my college friends are similar age with children.

I guess young/average? I had my LOs at 27 & 29. But really to me everyone is pretty young since my step mom just had a baby at 50.
pomegranate / 3706 posts
Young/ middle, especially young among my college friends. I was 28 with my first, 2 weeks past my 30th birthday with my last. Only one of my closest college friends has a child so far, many aren't even married yet, or just recently are.

On HB I'm average, IRL I'm old. I'm in a small town in the south most people I went to school with have 5 to 8 yr olds.(18 to 22yrs old) DS is 6 months. We're also the last to have a child in DH family and both his sisters are younger than me. I'm 28
It's so strange how things differ by just a hundred miles.

Old for HB; on the younger side of average real life (thanks NYC!). I had my first at 33, second at 35.
