Sort-of. I know that I am more willing to compromise and keep the peace. That's also because I'm the oldest, so I try to keep things in order. I know that I will defer to my sisters since they tend to be more opinionated and will complain a lot of if things are difficult for them. I was the peacemaker in my group of friends.

My mom was the peacemaker with her siblings and she is the middle child.

No, my older brother has always been the peacemaker. I grew up in a family of four.

DH is the peacemaker in his family. He is the youngest of three children.

I don't know if I'm the peacekeeper but I definitely feel like the middle man sometimes. I basically get along with everyone, but everyone else doesn't get along with each other.

For reference, I am an only child. A "satellite" of my large family in New York all moved to Texas when I was a baby. So there are 6 of us in the Dallas area, now 7 if you include my husband. That is my two parents, my aunt, my uncle, my grandmother, DH and I. That is who I play middle man with. My aunt and uncle have a strained relationship with my parents (my dad and his sister), for example.

My immediate family doesn't have (or need) a peace maker as far as I can tell. We all get along pretty well and things are calm. It's me, my parents, and my older brother.

My husband is definitely the peace maker in his family though. His younger sister and his dad get in to it all the time and my husband is just so chill and laid back that it's often up to him to diffuse the situation.

I'm the peacemaker, or was growing up. My brother is medicated now, so he's way less volatile - not really a need for someone to soothe the savage beast anymore. I'm the youngest of two, though we had younger foster kids in and out when I was 5 to 11 years old. Now I'm more likely to tell people to man the !@#$ up or shut up (not in those words, but mostly by proposing the obvious solution.)

I'm the oldest of 3 and have been called the peacemaker. My middle sister studied conflict resolution in university, so now she's becoming peacemaker.
