@combatlibby: What do you consider the first sign of ovulation? Eggwhite CF? Positive OPK? Or do you wait for a temp rise?
I feel like I usually have like one day of fertile CF early in my cycle and then it tends to dry up... so maybe I have the same problem you do. Did OPKs for one month and never caught a surge. Temping has not been consistent but this month I'm trying to be very diligent about it and so far it's been going well. I'm only on CD10 so no rise yet. I got some EPO yesterday but I'm thinking maybe I'll just wait until my next cycle to try it if I don't get a positive this month.

@Banana330: yes, it was BFN. Bummer!! I got a positive OPK on 7/25 & felt like I ovulated so I guess technically I could be only 9DPO if I ended up ovulating on 7/26; I'm not charting. Will wait a few more days & try again unless AF starts.

@MommySLP: Boo... that sucks. but if you did ovulate on the 26th then it's still pretty early.

Guys this TWW is killing me.... I want to just pee on all the sticks but I'm 8-10 dpo. 10 according to FF

@littleblessings: same here! I am symptom spotting like crazy! Going back to the chart of my first pregnancy to find similarities. Then I tell myself to knock it off and just let it happen! How can 2 weeks feel so lonnnnggg?!

@littleblessings: I'm 9/10 DPO (positive OPK on 7/25, but not charting). I took a test this morning & it was BFN. Thinking if it was going to be positive then it would be already??? AF is due Sunday.

@littleblessings: I know. Longest two weeks ever!
@Emsmems: I've totally been going bad to my old charts studying them for comparison. I didn't temp this month and it's driving me crazy. I'm not even sure I ovulated.

Well I'm in good company. I've been excessively examining my chart this month, it's killing me! I'm 10 dpo today!

I peed a little early and got a positive test! I am shocked and so happy. It took us almost a year with our first and this was our second try for the second baby. I didn't get a super strong OPK but I guess that doesn't matter as much as I thought. I'm so happy. My husband is shocked so I'm not sure how he really feels but I know he has been nervous to have another, probably thought it would take longer.

@MOMTOLITTLEB: awesome, congrats!
Add me to the list of the chart obsessed. I am 6 dpo and this was my first month temping. I am simply fascinated by the whole process. Hoping I manage to wait until Wednesday to test.

@littleblessings, @emsmems, @banana330, @bibliolove, @revel: The really crazy part is how two weeks lasts forever... But a year will fly by in a flash. We've been NTNP and TTC since last June... never imagined it would take this long.

So I've been doing opks this month and I haven't gotten a single hint of a line yet. I was taking them in the morning, but then read that I should be doing an afternoon test so I've been doing that for the past days, when I should be ovulating. And I haven't gotten anything! I'm getting annoyed /frustrated! Dh and I have been trying to BD every other day still.
persimmon / 1188 posts
@Banana330: I am pretty sure I am 11 dpo now and I was 10 dpo when I got a positive test with my son. I had a little hope this time because I had pain in my ovary area when I sneezed and I only ever had that when I was pregnant. Otherwise no symptoms yet.
Thanks for the well wishes, I want to call all my friends and family and tell them but need to let it settle in for at least a few weeks first so it's nice to be able to share my joy somewhere.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: what brand are you using? I can't test in the afternoon, as my pee is usually too diluted. I didn't have good luck with the expensive tests, the cheapie Wondofo are great though. I don't always ovulate though.
nectarine / 2636 posts
@Bibliolove: I have the cheap wondfo ones. I have been drinking about 10 oz at lunch and nothing after that, then testing around 5 or 6pm. Would that be diluted?

I may be having similar issues. I pee A LOT and I'm not going to deny myself water when I'm thirsty, especially when it's so hot out. I pee so often that I actually got checked out for diabetes, doc said I was fine though. I'm relying on cervical fluid & position.

@MOMTOLITTLEB: congrats!!!
Took another test this morning & BFN. AF is due tomorrow so I think I'm out unless I had a really late implantation or something crazy. Not expecting that though! Hope we get some more positives this month!

@Emsmems: I wish there was a test we could take to know if fertilization happened like 24 hours after DTD.
@MommySLP: it's not over until AF arrives.
@Banana330: any ideas on how to pass the time?
@bizwitch: I hope it happens for you soon!

@abbydabbydoodlebug: gosh you should be ok by then. I sometimes test twice if I think I'm getting close..am and after work.

@Bibliolove: that's what I thought! It's so weird that nothing has showed up yet. I'm in CD 16 today, so I'm thinking I should've O'd this week. Ugh. Oh well. DH and I should've covered our bases anyway,l.

cd 16, and we just BD for the first time this cycle. I should be about o-3, since i've been ovulating late here lately. I looked at my previous charts, and it looks like we are only bd'ing o-3, which is fine since we haven't been actively ttc. But, I do know the majority of pregnancies happen on o-2, o-1, and o!

@MOMTOLITTLEB: Congrats!!
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I've had issues with OPKs as well and probably should just quit doing them. I used Wondfos with my last pregnancy but bought Clinical Guard (also from Amazon) this time around since my Wondfos are expired. Stupid decision because the new ones have NEVER given me a positive (just a faint line some days) but I finally tried my old (>1 year expired!) Wondfos this week and they work so much better! I think it really depends a lot on the batch of tests with these cheap ones. Good luck this month!

@littleblessings: You're much more patient than I am! I seem to always give in by 9-10 dpo, as much as I know I should wait. Good luck!

@peachykeen: after having a chemical last month and testing early I'm trying to avoid the heart ache by waiting til I'm about 12-14 dpo

joining in a little late and apprehensively
Cycle Day: 1
TTC Cycle: 1st since DnC, tried 4 months before was pregnant
Ovulation Date: who knows... FF is telling me the 13th
POAS Date: 8/27
Baby #: 1
What's up this month: starting trying again after first AF since DnC, very apprehensive and nervous to begin again. Our best friends just had a baby (six days old) and meeting her was very bittersweet. Loving on her has made my heart hurt for our lost baby and confirmed that we can't wait to start trying again. Praying for a rainbow sooner rather than later and just taking it one day at a time
My favorite summer dessert is wine...? Since I can have it again but really I dont do dessert, perhaps brownies

@MOMTOLITTLEB: congratulations!
My TWW is killing me. I don't want to test because my FIL is here and I don't want to try and hide my excitement while he's here but he can't keep a secret either so... I will be waiting until at least Wednesday afternoon/Thursday morning. I'm sure it's negative (feel nothing and I definitely could tell with my first LO) but I'm still anxious!
nectarine / 2317 posts
@littleblessings: no idea how to pass the time. Being busy/away for the weekend really helped. But I find the work week the hardest. If I'm sitting at my desk it can just pop in to my head.
@MommySLP: sorry. That sucks.
nectarine / 2636 posts
@peachykeen: so I got a shadow of a line yesterday when I haven't gotten anything before. I noticed my cm changed. Its not ewcm, but maybe I'm going to O late!
