What is the strangest/craziest thing you have done to get your baby to fall asleep? I am currently siting outside my laundry room., watching my baby take a nap in her bouncer because the only thing that has calmed her all day was the sound of the dryer. This better be her 12 week growth spurt and I am praying we are heading towards the end of it.

I've sat in my car (turned on, with AC) for as long as an hour just so she stays asleep.

Lol my LO went through a brief period where she would only nap when being held and walked. Even if she was asleep, when I sat down she'd wake up. So I spent a week doing circles around my living room while working the biceps (i.e. holding her).
hope it is just a phase!

I drove around for almost 2 hours one time because she would wake up as soon as we stopped.

I stood, rocking L in a dark bathroom with the fan on for entire naps.

DH turned the vacuum on one night when I was out at dinner. Once he turned it off she woke up.

We always wait in the car with the A.C. on for DD to get a good nap in if she falls asleep while we are out and about. If I am driving solo and she naps, I climb to the back of the car all the time from the driver's seat after I park.

@Mae: wasn't that phase fun? We went through it too.
@LuLu Mom: wow! Yeah one night we were so desperate because she just wouldn't nap all day and so we just put her in the car, she eventually passed out, and then we could only make right turns and keep moving because if we stopped it was over.
@.twist.: now that is impressive. You probably built up crazy strong arm muscles though! Gotta try to bathroom fan next time.....

@ellewoods84: totally been there! We had to hold her for a good hour, in the bathroom w/ the hairdryer, water and exhaust fan going every night until she outgrew her colic.

I put my steering wheel in a locked position in a deserted part of parking lot and did slow circles for 30 minutes so he would nap...I'm pretty sure everyone thought I was crazy that saw it!

Apparently my mom had to prop open the central vac outlet near my crib so I would sleep. She's joyfully wishing the same on me now that I'm preggos.
