Hello. I'm ttc (obviously) and was wondering what brand OPKs people have had good luck with. Specifically, I've heard that Clear Blue makes good ones, but I'm bummed about the amount of plastic waste I'd be putting into the world by using/throwing out a clunky piece of plastic every day. I used Pregmate brand (top reviewed strip from amazon) in February, but never got a strong positive. Wondering what others have used and gotten clear results from. Thanks!

I use wondfo brand cheapies from amazon and then use the clear blue to confirm so that I only use one or two clear blue's a cycle. I don't know if that helps or not

@BadgerMom: Helpful for sure. Do you get a strong positive from the Wondfo? I peed on a stick every day for almost all of Feb. and never got a line stronger than the control. Strongest line happened on day 8, which seems super early. Probably user error, but who really knows.

I get obvious positives with wondfos. It’s all I’ve ever used so I have nothing to compare it to

@karenbme: I get obvious “whoa that’s positive” positives the wondfos and that has always coincided with a positive clearblue. But I know some people don’t get those so the clear blue confirmation would help.

I use easy at home. You do have to dip them for longer than the proscribed 3 seconds. I watch the dye and pull it out right before it gets to the test window.
You also have to make sure you're using more concentrated pee. If you drink a lot of water you could be diluting your urine too much. You want to limit liquids for 2 hours before if possible
This was my positive this month with the easy at home. I have a quick surge so it's hard to catch and these do well for me

I like the easy at home brand strips too.

This bummed me out when we were using them too. Ended up using Wondfo. Wish there was a better alternative.

@MamaBear87: Thanks, this is helpful. I hadn't even thought about limiting fluids. I tend to drink about 96oz of water (fill my 32oz water bottle about 3x) and 1-2 cups of coffee per day so that def. could have been my problem.

Also recommend Wondfos. Never had an issue ID-ing positives. I usually kept strips from the couple days around probable ovulation day to compare.
