Just wanted to say that bf+pumping+additional toddler. .. I feel like my boobs run my life/daily schedule and deprive me of sleep..
Hoping to bf for 6+ months....
Only lasted 4 months with my first lo and now lo number two is 4.5 months and I'm trying to stay boob motivated. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. .
I think I can. ..I think I can. .I think I can!

Same boat here! Pumping as I type actually. My kids are 22 and 6 months, I weaned #1 when I got pregnant. Pumping just for supply since she refuses bottles, even more annoying, she isn't even going to drink this! Just gotta keep on keepin on!

I know the feeling....hang in there!!! LO #2 is 5-weeks old and it is a lot harder dealing with breastfeeding and pumping while taking care of a toddler. To make it even more fun, my toddler is afraid of the noise from the pump and cries. Luckily I'm only pumping once a day at this point to keep up my supply and build up a stash so I can eventually leave the house once and awhile. The thought of doing this for the next year is horrifying at this point.

When do you find time to pump?
I'm still on leave and as of now I'm hand expressing when LO 2 gives me a nap stretch. Which is 2 hours! She's constantly at the boob and when I finally have a few moments hands free I'm trying to give my toddler attention or get a few things done.But once I do have a job in place I want to try fitting in one pump session a day to build my stash. Which is at 17 ounces at 13.5 weeks!! I'm pretty proud because last time I went back to work with 2 oz frozen.

@crystbum: one of the best bits of advice I ever read was that "how bf'ing looks now is not how it will look at twelve months, not how it will look at nine months or even how it will look at six months". It might also be helpful to know that 4-6 months is about when your post partum hormones return to their pre-pregnancy levels, perhaps that explains the bf'ing funk?

I feel ya! It's tough work. DD will be 6 mo on Friday and I can feel my motivation plummeting since that was a big goal. My stash is dwindling as is my output. I have a 26 mo old but he's pretty okay with the whole thing at this stage in the game. Gonna try to keep it up for a year but we'll see if my boobs cooperate. I WOHM and I'm not willing to kill myself to keep up a dwindling supply
