So my LO has been invited to a 1st birthday party for our neighbour. She's only 6 months so I'm not quite sure what would be a good present for a one year old boy. His mom said he likes stacking and knocking down. Any ideas beyond standard blocks?

This has been One of DDs favourite toys for the past 6 months...she builds the tower, sets up the little homes, plays with the animals...they are really sturdy and I like that there are so many different ways to play with it

We love Tobbles (http://www.amazon.com/Fat-Brain-Toy-Co-Tobbles/dp/B004HFLSI2) - they're great for stacking and knocking over, you can put them at crazy angles, and they're nice and brightly coloured.

We got these as a birthday gift for our one-year-old DS and they are a huge hit (http://www.amazon.com/Caterpillar-Stacking-Nesting-Kids-Preferred/dp/B007L21MA2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1444752872&sr=8-1&keywords=eric+carle+stacking+blocks). I actually just bought them for a birthday gift for our neighbor's DD who is turning one this week!
