Any suggestions for blowing out candles for a birthday that doesn't involve sweets? DH 's birthday is next week and in the past I've done pies but that's still really not his thing. He's not a fan of pancakes either. 
I'm thinking of making banana nut bread in a pan or cupcakes and putting a candle on that! Lol
Any other suggestions?

At a restaurant for my mom's birthday they did a little blob of chocolate frosting (maybe the size of a dime?) on a plate and stuck the candle in that after the meal.

I go by the philosophy that you can stick a candle in anything and call it a birthday!

I think we're going to get sushi takeout after the girls go to bed (hopefully!) so I'll stick a candle in that to be funny. LOL
But I'll baking banana nut muffins with DD 1 and put a candle in that so she can sing happy birthday to daddy.
Will definitely keep these ideas for future years!!

@regberadaisy: It's basically a wooden ring, where you pop in little figures, numbers and candles.
