We've about made it to 12 weeks of breastfeeding and I'm hoping the worst is behind is (nipple damage, low supply) and now we're in a good groove. But, i want to be prepared for anything that still may come at us - so did you have any breastfeeding issues past 12 weeks?

I had thrush and clogged ducts with both kids after 12 weeks.

Had clogged ducts every once in awhile. I think it was because she'd start going a bit longer between feeds.

Things I dealt with between 3 months and now (almost 5 months) - nursing strike (this was after she had to start taking bottles since I went back to work, it was just a phase thankfully!), dips in supply (it happened once around 3-4 months and happening again now). I've also had clogged ducts a few times but nothing I couldn't resolve by massaging/pumping/nursing.
Basically besides the supply issue, nothing was as bad as those first weeks!

I had a few minor clogged ducts that were mildly painful but resolved pretty much on their own- some gentle exfoliating of the nipple and hard massage in the shower.
And some biting while she was teething but thankfully that was always short lived!

Major distracted nursing from 4 months to 9 months--I started nursing to sleep/before naps just to get him to have a good session. Other than that and some decreased weight gain (but I think he was just finding his own curve), not much!

No issues past five weeks with my first and past one week with my second (touch wood).

At 9mo it's all distraction and biting

Recurring clogged ducts from blebs. Sigh. I get them every 3-4 days, for over a month now.

My supply dropped when I got my period back pp. I had to be really careful and make sure I kept it up from ovulation to the end of my period.

Thrush, a couple nursing strikes, supply dips (but I work full time and had to pump), and some biting periods.

Congrats, that is such a huge accomplishment, especially when nursing is a struggle. I had a really difficult nursing journey until about 12 weeks (major pain for me, poor latch, damaged nips, etc.) but right around 12 weeks, it became smooth sailing. I didn't have any further problems and went on to nurse until 13 months. Good luck!

I think you already saw but I got mastitis. The first two days were awful. High five! We are finally in our groove too!
