Baby boy is measuring pretty big at this point (9 lbs or so). That said, we know that estimates this late in the game can be very inaccurate. We have a measuring u/s scheduled for next week when I'll be at 40.

My OB is trying to warn me that it could affect my plans for birth in that she won't use forceps or a vacuum because she finds bigger babies should not be pulled and that if he does get stuck we will be looking at a c-section.

I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and still no dilation, no major contractions. I might be looking at an induction at this rate. Also, my birth wish list includes going med-free which I feel very strongly about.

My mom had two almost 10 lb babies but they were her second and third kids. I want to trust that my body can birth whatever size baby it makes but I'm still really nervous.

Did you induce your baby due to them being bigger based on doc/midwives' recommendation? Did you wait longer to have them naturally? How did it go? How big were they? Stories please! Thanks!
