Any college level ESL instructors here?
Keeping this short because my baby is crawling over me, but my background is as an attorney. I'm currently a SAHM but would love to get back to working in a flexible teaching enivironment. Ideal job would be adjunct at a local CC. I don't have much teaching experience so not sure how to go about it. Was considering applying to be an ESL instructor at our local CC - they require TESOL certificates which don't seem too time extensive to earn?
Any instructors here who can give me any insight? Would love thoughts on job prospectives, how tough it is to find a job, time commitment, etc. thanks so much!
I left my full time teaching job when LO was born and I basically have a few adjunct gigs that contribute to our vacation and home remodel savings. It's been great, LO has enjoyed time with my mom a couple mornings per week, but I'm actually cutting back my schedule for fall because it's a lot of work for not a lot of pay.
Just trying to weigh my options and see what I could do to earn some $ with flexibility as my #1 goal
