I'm pretty sure that DD is teething. She's 5 months, has no teeth but she's started to really clamp down and gum me while nursing. Usually it's not when she first starts and is really hungry but a few minutes into the feeding.

I'd really like to nip this in the bud before she actually has teeth and thinks it's okay to bite me. My mom says to pull her off and firmly tell her no. My aunt says to pull her off and kind of give her a little flick on the mouth. She still seems soooo young though and I'm skeptical that she'll understand that those mean to stop the behavior.

Does anyone have anything that they did that actually worked?
