- bar keepers friend: this seriously gets rid of everything and makes surfaces look brand new.
- easy off: the only thing I've found that will get rid of all oven gunk
- Kirkland signature disinfecting wipes: I use these for everything
- kids and pets: best pet stain / odor remover

Windex... haha. I use it to clean *everything* (kitchen counters, tile floors, showers and tubs, toilets - not the bowls, etc), which kills DH. He's always bitching at me for never using anything else. Idk, that's just what I grew up with, I guess!
I need to expand my cleaning skills though, and use appropriate cleaners for appropriate surfaces!

Vinegar for EVERYTHING! So much safer (and cheaper!) than chemical cleaning products, particularly around LOs. Baking soda is pretty magical as well. I love this list of 150 ways you can use vinegar around the house: http://www.rd.com/home/150-household-uses-for-vinegar/

@PawPrints: I use vinegar to mop the floors, it is super safe and does not make the grout crack like bleach and cleaners do!

@PawPrints: Great article! Thanks! I'm always looking for more natural cleaning methods, but I find that vinegar just doesn't get it clean enough for me. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong??

@snowjewelz: Yes, try Easy Off! I get the fume free version. I had to clean an AWFUL stove once for a rental unit, and it seriously got rid of everything and made it look brand new.

@snowjewelz: yeah, try easy off! I usually spray on a thick layer in the evening and let it sit overnight. At least 12-14 hours! It gets off almost everything!!

Micro fiber cleaning cloths. Seriously, with just a little bit of water, you can scrub, dust, mop floors, etc! Then you can put them in the washing machine.

@snowjewelz: oven cleaner should definitely work. Just let it soak in and leave it for a while. I also found that ceramic stovetop cleaners work well on just regular stove tops. It's a nice thick cream (kind of like softscrub) and you layer it on and leave it for a long time to work through the cooked on grease. Then wipe off and rinse. Sometimes you have to do it a few times to get through all the layers of grease but it works and looks great when done. I would get mine at Bed Bath and Beyond and it was citrus based and not as harsh smelling as soft scrub or oven cleaner. I also lived in many rentals in college and law school

Dawn and hot water! I'm weird about chemicals...not even in the "They're going to kill us and give us cancer" kind of way. I just feel like there is residue lingering with cleaners and it doesn't feel as clean to me! Hot water, dawn, baking soda, and vinegar are my favorites although I do use some cleaners.

@PawPrints: that's how I clean all my produce! I soak them in vinegar and water for about 20 minutes. It works so well, I've heard!
Although I'm not a member anymore, I LOVE the sol-u-mel from melaleuca. I am on my last bottle so I will run out sometime this year and I will be so sad.

@sandy: Are you still using regular cleaning products while pregnant? I'm thinking maybe I should switch to vinegar ASAP so I'm not touching/breathing in the other stuff?

@snowjewelz: I'm only using the green cleaners I have. I like the Biokleen brand for all purpose cleaner and bathroom cleaner. Not much cleaning going on this first trimester
