So awful. As someone with family members who have/had addiction issues, I know this is obviously worst case scenario and I am just heartbroken for his loved ones

@MrsSCB: Yeah, I have some family that has addiction issues, too. So scary and unexpected. He seemed like he was getting some help, too, by acknowledging his problem and checking into rehab.

@bluestriped bee: totally, I was SHOCKED to read this happened because it really seemed like he was doing all the right things! That's definitely the scariest part. It's like you just never really know.

Listening to Glee songs and I heard this one and it just sticks out so much. The lyrics are so sad considering his death, his drug addiction and Lea and Cory's relationship together.

he just seemed like things were going in the right direction...I feel so awful for Lea Michelle...this is just...awful. First Zimmerman is innocent, now this...I'm hoping for a royal baby to turn things around for this weekend!

What I find extra sad and sadly ironic is that I always felt Glee was such a great educational show for teens. Like it was something they could probably relate to and see that there are ways to cope with everything you go through and feel as a teen. I felt it was such a better show than those teen dramas like Gossip Girl and 90210 that glamorized drugs and sex for teens (of course as adult I loved watching those shows!) and then one of the stars dies from a possible drug OD

I'm just still so shocked about Cory Monteith's death. Seeing all the articles on People.com is so sad.
I've never lost a close loved one but I wonder how Lea is doing. Will this change her role on Glee? Will she return? It might be really hard for her to go back to a set where she met him.

@bluestriped bee: I can't imagine she'd leave the show since it's built her career. .That said, I also can't imagine what she's going through in real life. One of dh's groomsmen was killed by a drunk driver a couple years ago while he was in his hometown to purchase an engagement ring. His gf was beyond crushed ... my heart broke a hundred times for her on a daily basis ...... to have such a clear vision of your life/future with a person and then have it all taken away in an instant is so.sad.
