Does anyone here have any experience with cribs from Ikea? I'm not crazy about the look of them I actually prefer darker wood cribs with more style to them than the basic look of the Ikea cribs. But i was just curious if anyone has used them and like them?

We have one, and it is fine considering the fact that I wanted to spend as little as possible because we're moving soon and I didn't want to feel bad about leaving it behind.
It's a little smaller than a standard sized crib in the US, so that might limit its usefulness.

I'm definitely leaning towards an Ikea crib. I just can't bring myself to spend tons of money on a crib and they get the job done! Plus our second bedroom (future nursery) is really small, so a smaller size would be perfect.

We have one too. No complaints really. But you can always paint the crib. Sarah Richardson from HGTV did an episode on her Sarah 101 show. It featured the Gulliver crib, which is the one I have.

I was reading in Baby Bargains (I think) and they listed the Ikea cribs as some of the best for people on a budget.

Painting it is a great idea! We got a white crib, I think it's the Gulliver, not sure anymore.
I recall when we were looking for cribs (my German isn't that great)...I found a great price for a crib...until I realized that was the price that didn't include the rails! The cheapest option was well over $400, without the rails!

one of the Ikea cribs was also in consumer report's best baby products book, too.

@ustechie: maybe that's where I saw it. I can't remember and I know we got both of those books around the same time.
