Did you cry when you got to hold your baby for the first time after they were born? How about DH?
I surprised myself that I didn't. I definitely got a little misty, but didn't cry. Instead I felt like I was smiling from ear to ear. 
DH isn't much of a crier, but he did cry for the first kiddo. I think it was more the situation because he had been worried about us and was finally relieved when I woke up.

I balled like a baby as soon as I heard him cry! DH started balling about 10 seconds after me.

I didn't with my first, I honestly think it's because I was so focused on labor. I had a c-section with my second and I cried before he was born because I knew I was about to meet him and then I cried when they got him out and I heard him crying.

I didn't cry when my baby was born, but DH and I both did as we were leaving the maternity ward to take him home for the first time.

Yep, on the table just before she came out and when we heard her cry. He did too and he did when I was going into the operating room and my mum hugged him.

I did, both times, when they pulled them out (c sections both times). My husband didn't.

I didn't cry for either. DH cried for DD1 and didn't for DD2 and felt a little bad. We will see about DD3.

My husband cried. I didn't -- I think I was overwhelmed by everything (like just pushing 8.5 pounds out of my body...haha).

DH cried, our moms cried, I think I just teared up. My memory is pretty fuzzy on the first half hour of DD's life.

I teared up. My husband absolutely lost it (he says he wasn't prepared for how blue a baby looks fresh out of the womb).

More smiles than tears. But it seems that's typical for me since I was giddy/smiley on our wedding day and no tears then either. My wife - a puddle. Both days.

We both cried for both babies. With DD2, she came so fast we were both in shock and didn't realize what was happening, but once it set in we both cried lol.

I ugly cried when my first was born-totally overwhelmed by all the emotions and everything. I had an unplanned unmedicated birth with my second (got there too late for an epi) and I was too relieved labor was over to cry!! DH did not cry either time.

Both times I was almost surprised she was there and relieved labor was over! And you had a long gradual labor with dd1 and a fast and furious labor with dd2- both times it was like, whoa, the baby is here?!?! No tears I don't think from either of us.

I don't think either of us cried for either birth! We were just so happy both times that we had no complications and babies were healthy.

I thought sure I would! I may have teared up, but I think I was just so relieved & happy to finally see her. DH bawled. LOL.

Nope. It was 2:50am and I had just pushed a baby out of me, so it took a little while for all the emotions to sink in. I remember being surprised he was a boy and in total awe that he was mine, but it was definitely in a daze.

DH did, I didn't. I was so exhausted that I was just stupefied. I just kept staring at LO thinking WTH, I just had a baby? With LO2 they had me flip over right away after delivering on my hands and knees. I couldn't figure out how to crawl over the umbilical cord. I remember being super confused (I had just gotten to the hospital and hadn't met any delivery staff) but not crying.

DH cried. I was too exhausted/in too much pain. My afterbirth took a while ... I remember asking someone to remove LO from my chest while I labored the placenta

I didn't cry, or say anything. I was too awash with emotion. I just held her to me with my eyes closed while I waited to deliver the placenta. It felt very surreal.

No tears from either of us. DH just grinned a lot. I was just trying to get a good look at LO. I don't think I ever got around to crying and I'm a crier!

I was super out of it for D's birth, I didn't have a real clue what was happening. I was pretty disconnected from the reality that I'd just delivered him (and from the reality that he wasn't breathing!). I didn't cry the moment of A's birth, but about 10 minutes afterwards when she nuzzled herself up and started nursing on her own. That cued the waterworks like crazy!

I cried when I had my daughter but SO didn't. I didn't cry with my son but SO did. Considering this is most likely our last baby it will be interesting to see who cries this time.

I'm not a crier in general so I didn't cry. DH got teary eyed when DS was born and misty eyed when DD was born.

No, neither of us did. I feel like it took a little while for my brain to sort out my emotions. I remember crying a few days later at home.

No I didn't, and I am normally a crier. My DH did cry though. I was just too overwhelmed to cry. But I cried everyday the first week haha.

I don't think either of us did! It was all so overwhelming and surreal, I don't think I fully processed it for a while.
