Do you have shallow wide bowls or deep small bowls? Which do you prefer?
Our set came with shallow wide bowls. I do love them but they don't fit in our dishwasher very well and I hate that.
W used to have deep small bowls but they also didn't fit in our dishwasher well. I feel like bowls are not the same as they were when I was a kid.

depends what I'm eating! obviously. cereal is much better in a deep bowl. pasta or salad, wide and shallow.

Oh man, I'm not nearly as dirty as I think I am sometimes--my first thought was of bellybuttons!
We have deep bowls, but I'd like some shallow ones, I think.
Also, I generally prefer shallow

I love the shallow bowls but completely agree they are a pain to load into the dishwasher. I just like the way they look and I like having them as an option to a plate. I love to serve salad, stews, pasta dishes, and rice with veggies/sauce.
I have small and big deep bowls and only really use them for soup or cereal. I do have these small deep bowls with handles...like a giant latte mug and I love serving soup in them and they're easy to carry with the handle

I think it is much more comforting/homey to eat from a deep bowl.

@sorrycharlie: I agree with this a whole lot. Milk is far too splashy in a shallow bowl. Especially if you're trying to eat on a couch or eat and HB at the same time.

Shallow bowls are just a recipe for disaster, im like a four year old when it comes to spilling so deep bowls are easier for me to manage!

Depends on what I'm eating but we have mostly shallow bowls (the ones that come in the Fiesta sets) from our wedding registry. I didn't think I'd like them, but now deep ones are kind of annoying unless I want a lot of something.

My head was definitely in the gutter...
I am a weirdo about bowls, so we have three "everyday" type bowls. We have a low and wide brim one for pasta or dinner stuff. We have an ice cream bowl, which could also be a morning cereal bowl. We have a larger bowl for soups and leftovers.

For microwaveable oatmeal, a deep bowl is necessary! Our wedding china came with shallow bowls, but we kept a few bowls from my pre-dh days because they're perfect for certain things, esp making oatmeal, but they're also bigger so I like them for pasta. Then we usually eat ice cream out of ramekins so that there's some portion control going on...

Our dishes came with two sets. I use the deeper ones for cereal and the shallow ones for soup.

To answer your question we have 2 sets, deep cereal bowls, and shallow but extra wide pasta bowls/salad/soup bowls.
