We went to the beach for a week every summer, and then usually one other vacation during the year. Sometimes it was a big trip to Disney World or the Caribbean, sometimes it was a local weekend excursion (Amish country, DC, Philadelphia, mountains in WV).

Yes. I was very fortunate. My parents took us to places like Disneyland, Disney World, San Francisco, Hawaii, Palm Springs, and we went to the Oregon Coast a lot. We went to Vegas a few times for dance competitions and turned them into vacations. My grandparents also took us to Europe quite a few times, and we rafted the Grand Canyon with one set of grandparents. I treasure each and every one of those trips.
