When I was younger, I didn't think I'd want to get married until after 30. I never really thought about it. So naturally assumed I'd have babies in my mid-late 30s.
I ended up getting married at 27 and having my first at 29. So earlier than my younger self thought would have happened!

Much later. I had my kids at 35 and 38. I assumed I'd get married after college.

Later. When I was young I thought I'd get married pretty young and have kids younger too. I didn't get married till I was 28 and had DD at 30.

Earlier, I guess. I hadn't really given it much thought when I was younger. I was engaged at 19 and married a year later, got pregnant a year after that!

I do love how it's worked out though! I'm a lot younger than my husband and I have so much more energy. I think if I'd had kids ten years from now, I might not have as much energy or find things like the trampoline park as fun as I do

A little bit younger. My "goal"/ideal was to not have kids until I was at least 30. I had LO a few months shy of 30. I would have waited several more years before TTC, but my husband is 16 years older, so we didn't have forever.

OMG my "plan" was married by 25, done having kids by 30. Instead I got married at 33 and had my first at 35! Did NOT plan to be having my second at 38

I always thought I'd follow in the footsteps of my parents and grandparents: marry young and have a baby by my mid-20s. I married when I was 24 (seems so young now!) and had my first baby at 29. Not what I thought, but perfect in the end!

@Applesandbananas: Yes, absolutely! I agree with that. I think there are both pros and cons to having children younger and older. I am just more surprised too because I didn't even meet my husband until I was 20.5 so has felt like these years have gone by at rapid speed and have been filled with so much - marriage and 3 kids. I'm excited to see what the last half of our twenties looks like as we get out of the baby stage!

Later - I always thought I didn't want to be an "older mom", and then it took me 5 years to get pregnant and I was 34 when I had my first and I'll be 36 when I have my second.

Earlier than what my teenage self planned. As a teen, I always imagined enjoying my 20s traveling the world and having exotic flings, getting married at 30 and having kids a few years later.
In reality, I fell in love at 18, got married right out of college at 22 and expecting my first in a few months at 26. Once I fell in love, I was ready for the whole gambit; marriage, house and kids. We waited a few years after the wedding in order to do a lot of international travel since we had talked about starting a family before we turned 30.

I had mine around when I thought I would. My first was born when I was 24. I got married at almost 22 and I've always wanted several kids and didn't want to wait long.

Later. My college self thought I would get married around 25-26 and kids soon after. I did get married at 26, but with IF didn't have our first kids til I was 32.

I'm kind of on the cusp. I always said I'd be done having kids when I was 30. I wanted to start when I was around 25. However, I got married at 27. I had #2 a week before my 30th bday and we thought we were done, but we've since decided to have another.

I didn't think I'd meet my husband until I was in my 30s, and we met when I was 22! granted we didn't get married until I was 26 and didn't have lo until I was 30, so it's not like I'm that much younger of a mother than I thought. But I definitely thought I'd met my husband and marry later.

I expected my 20s to be about me and finding/nurturing a strong relationship and my 30s to be about raising kids.
So far it has worked out that way. Got married at 26 and I'm expecting my first a few months before I turn 31.

About on schedule. I figured I'd be married when I'm 26 and have my 1st at 28 and my 2nd at 30.
I got married when I was 24. Had DS when I was 27 and DD when I'm 30.
Though, I do sometimes wish I had DS a bit earlier. We had problems conceiving at first.

As a teenager, I figured I'd get married shortly after college, have my first baby soon after, and be done having kids by 27 or 28.
In reality, I graduated from college at 21, met my future husband later that year, got married at 25, and just had my first at 27. I think I underestimated the time and effort it takes to be financially ready enough to start a family.

Earlier! I had thought I would have my first at 25 - after finishing college, having a biggish wedding and honeymoon. Instead I got pregnant at 20 (while on the pill) dropped out of college, had a courthouse wedding and no honeymoon!
Currently 24 (as of Monday!) with two kids. Planning to have one more. I'll be 38 when LO1 is 18

I thought I'd get married at 30 and have kids shortly after and we got married in Jan and had a baby by December the same year. I was 31.

I high school I just didn't want kids, but by the time I was engaged I planned to be married for 3-4 years before having kids. Then I was surrounded by all the cute babies and I was just working as a substitute teacher - DS was born 2 days after our2nd anniversary.

Right on. I've always said I want to be done having kids by the time I'm 30. I met DH at 22, and we got married my last semester of law school at 24. Started ttc at 26, LO was born two weeks before my 28th birthday. We don't know if we are having a second, but if we do we won't try until she's 1.5-2, which would make me 30-31 if it doesn't take as long as it did the first time. Which is okay as well!

Age 0-22 I always said I would adopt and actively prevent bio kids. Then I learned about the emotional, ethical, and financial complexities of adoption and opened my mind to bio kids.
I wanted to have my first baby by 25-26, and I'll be having LO1 any day now, at age 27. So generally on track, but TTC took longer than anticipated due to insurance issues, loss, and infertility.

I didn't vote because I haven't had babies yet, but so far we're right on track of what I wanted. I wanted to be married at 24, and I lucked out. Now we're TTC at the exact age I wanted to be. It's funny how it worked out that way.
I always wanted to have my first before 30 for sure.

I said "right on" but it may end up being slightly later. I always figured I would have kids in my early 30s and be done by age 35. We started trying when I was 31 and LO arrived when I was 32. I am turning 35 this week and keep losing pregnancies so not sure when LO2 will get here.
