Bee and I used to have a favorite restaurant... it's where we had our first date and also where I proposed. But they closed it down and I didn't find out until after it was shuttered! It was a sad day for us.
We don't have any other special places these days... all the places we go to in our local neighborhood are for the kids. Gotta work on creating more memories for just the two of us!

up until that it was "our place". Now a cute restaurant in our town that we go to breakfast has taken it's spot

Not really here. Well there's one restaurant that we used to live near. It was the first place DH took me out to eat to, when I first visited him here.
In NoVa we have a few Pho places that are "ours." One in particular that was very close to campus. We had a lot of cheap dates there when we were broke college kids

We go to the beach to walk the pier a lot! When we first moved here we didn't know any one and went there together in the summer almost every night.

We go to the resort we got married at about once every few months for breakfast overlooking the beach:). We are moving out of state and it's one of the only things I'll miss about FL:(

When we first started dating we'd go to the farmers market every Saturday. They started a fundraising campaign to expand the park to the waterfront, so we bought a brick with our names on it. We go back to visit "our brick" whenever we are in the area.

We have a favorite swimming hole on a river in Ecuador that we would go to every week when we lived there. We have yet to find a "special" place here.

We don't really, though we do have a kind of routine date night - movie & Cheesecake Factory. I don't think you can call an enormous chain restaurant a "special place" though.
I've been wanting to recreate one of our first dates with DH, though. We went to St. Louis, attended an Obama rally under the arch (we'd have to replace that with a picnic or something), went shopping and then to a pizza place. Doesn't sound that exciting, haha, but it was really one of the best day of our lives.

Boston is our "special place" though it's pretty general. Our first Christmas together, I got him Yankees vs. Red Sox tickets at Fenway. I set the bar way too high! He's a big Sox fan, so we went that summer and then again on our 1 year anniversary. It's one of our favorite cities!

Hubby and I don't have a "special" place. Wish we did though. We didn't even have a "song" until a few weeks before our wedding! Bowling is our go-to thing to do together though. We need to get more on top of "us" things before DS arrives!!!

Our special place is definitley Cabo where we've been twice - once when we were dating then again on our honeymoon. It's actually not as expensive a trip as you might think but I am so hesitant to go back to Mexico in general now.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art and the surrounding area (Boathouse Row, Kelly Drive, the Ben Franklin Parkway). I took Hubs down there once as a big surprise because every year they show Rocky on the steps of the Art Museum, and we try to go watch it every year now. We had our engagement pictures taken down there, as well.

We used to go to the Melting Pot for fondue for anniversaries and special occasions. We even went on our honeymoon. So I'd day thats our special spot.
Also, the St Louis City Museum. It's like an indoor sculture park/play place/climbing gym/circus. Coolest place ever. We went a LOT in the first couple years we were dating and really wanted to get married there (too expensive). The sculptor who built the whole thing died in a freak accident while working on another location a couple years back. He'll definitely be missed.

There is a restaurant in Greenpoint, BK where we used to go all the time but it has become so insanely popular that eating there is a lot less pleasant and it is almost impossibel to get a table. We still pop in occasionally for a moscow mule.

The venue for our wedding reception in Spain was amazing... It was built like a traditional Mediterranean fishing village on the edge of a cliff with sea views. All the apartments were painted bright colours and there were cobbled streets and an amphitheater... I think that will always be our special place and we'll go there for dinner when we're in Spain.

We kind of have one, but it's not one we can visit. We found a private beach in Isla Mujeres during our honeymoon. We had to swim around a couple big rocks to get to it (the beach ran into these huuuge rocks), but it was awesome!! It was in front of a FABulous beach house that was boarded up, but there were two permanent chairs in front of it. We figured it was a rich person's vacation house, so we made ourselves at home on this little secluded beach. We talk and reminisce about it often

Our special spot is Meredith, NH. The first weekend we decided we were officially together (had been friends for years) we went away together there. We stay at a beautiful Inn and Spa while we're there, called Church Landing. It's actually where we just went on our first wedding anniversary last month :).

We have a special restaurant where we decided to start dating. We haven't been back in years, but it's still special to us! Also, there is a fantastic restaurant in our town that we visit pretty often so I guess that's one of our special spots.
Our wedding reception hall closed down that's so sad to see whenever we pass it. It became a church!

We have gone to Block Island off the coast of RI every summer since we "discovered" it our first summer together. It is where we feel most us and we can reconnect like nowhere else. It's also
not that known compared to other areas so it feels like it's our little secret.

Yes! There's an awesome B&B in Leavenworth, WA. We went there a few weeks before our wedding and have returned almost every year. There's a huge picture window just above the doors that allows the sun to beat down on the bed, even during winter.. It's the best sleep I have ever had on vacation and it's one place where we always seem to reconnect.

I'd say our special place is the area we got married. Sadly we haven't been there since our wedding three years ago.

The restaurant where we had our first date. We had our rehearsal dinner there when we got married and have been back several times since: when we were house hunting, on the 5 year anniversary of our 1st date, etc. I want to take LO when he's ready to eat restaurant food!

Yes - but they're all back in New York since that's where we lived when we met, dated and got engaged! Cliche, but we went to serendipity for our first date, along with a broadway show. He proposed at Oheka castle on Long Island, and there is also a park on the island where we spent a day and had so much fun together. We took tons of pictures that day and they're fun to look back on.
In Minnesota though, not so much.

We have a few places in/around Boston where we have had "milestone" moments like our first date, engagement, first dinner out after DS was born, anniversary celebrations. We tend to go back to those places whenever we have a chance because we are creatures of habit

Yes, there's a national park about an hour away from where we live where we had our 'first look' before getting married. It's an old iron furnace, so there are historic buildings, horses, sheep, and a waterwheel on the property.
We go back at least once a year on our anniversary to take pictures. They have apple picking in the fall from heritage apple trees.

in general our special place is niagara falls (canadian side), even though i don't love it. my husband is like a kid there and LOVES clifton hill, etc, so we go often... our first year together i took him for his birthday and now we always seem to go for birthdays/anniversaries/just to get away. we make a night of it, get a hotel, have a nice dinner and do some gambling. we always have fun but i would be content going anywhere else haha. it makes him happy though...

We go back to the beach where we got engaged every year. If we ever have another LO and its a girl, its likely we'll name her after it.

My family has been going up to the same lakeside cabin deep in the Maine woods for 25 years. It's a super special place for my family, and knowing that, it's the place DH proposed 5 years ago. We missed this year because we had a newborn but you better believe we'll be there next year
