lol no. He only has 7 teeth right now so... that would seem so long for 7 little teeth! I will work on it when he's a bit older.

LO is good for about 30 sec-1 min depending on the day

Two minutes might as well be a year!
I let DD brush her own teeth while I brush her hair and get her in PJs. Then I do a quick brush on her before bed. She's very adamant about doing it herself, but she sucks at it. The brush is definitely in her mouth for two minutes but it's definitely not in motion the whole time (we bought her an electric one to hopefully mitigate that a bit.)

No... I try, but 2 minutes is such a long time! I'm lucky if I can hit all his teeth with the toothbrush!

Haha no. I brush them for about .5 seconds & then she chews on the brush for maybe a minute or so. But she's one so I think we're doing pretty well lol

Definitely not! I go as long as I can before she complains too much, but with her canines coming in, she does not tolerate it for long.

@oliviaoblivia: I think 1 min 30 secs is our record but usually just under a minute!

@oliviaoblivia: an electric brush is a great idea! My LO loves to "brush" her teeth on her own, but she really just chews and sucks on it.

@yellowbird: I was waiting for your response! I feel a little bit better! LOL

Im lucky if i can get the brush to touch all of the teeth at least once before the clenched teeth and pushing away begins....so definitley no. Lo is 18 months.

Nope! But we started singing the abc song from the very beginning of teeth brushing. Some days I tend to sing slower...

That sounds like a lofty goal for a 15 month old haha. I usually brush about 30 seconds. I makes sure to get every tooth on the front and back though

@Mrs. Sunshine: That sounds a lot like what we have going on!
I let her use a vibrating toothbrush... one of those battery powered Colgate ones you buy for $5. She likes how it feels in her mouth and moves it around a bit, so hopefully it is getting the job done.

Um hardly, I count to 10 for the bottom and again for the top and that's all I get before she starts throwing a fit. It's a slow count but usually because she starts to bite the brush or shuts her mouth so the brush can't move.

Not even close. We sing a song I made up to help him. It goes "Left, right, left, right. Up and down. Brush, brush all around." He's starting to sing it now. Most nights I let him brush a little bit and then I assist before reading the next books.

No.... I sing "twinkle twinkle" once while the kid brushes (or "brushes"), and again while I brush. Sometimes I go adagio or add flourishes if I need some time, but no way is it 2 minutes! That seems like a really long time considering the number and size of teeth we're caring for!!
