I keep telling myself not to compare my baby to other babies, and in my heart I just want her to hit her milestones at her own pace... but I can't help but panic a little when I see babies who are younger than her able to do things she can't. There are things that she was able to do surprisingly early though (like roll over at 3 months), while there are some things that are a little delayed (like sitting up on her own). I try to remind myself that babies all have different paces, and that they'll all eventually be able to do the same things in the end so there's no sense in stressing too much about it.

I just started my 6-month old on solids, so eating habits is yet another thing I'll probably end up comparing in the back of my head, too!

I think it's only normal to compare. I do it, but not in a competitive manner, but rather to know where Mavrick stands. ON the talking front it will take him much longer because I speak to him in English and Marc in French. But everything else (except eating - he's a porker, since 3 months) he's followed the general growth of kids his age.

My LO hasn't arrived yet but I think I will always compare her to babies around her age, etc.
