Originally I really did trust a lot of amazon sellers especially when they have good reviews but lately I am reluctant to buy certain things from them.
I had an issue with one seller and realized several other people had reported the same thing with their earth mama angel baby bottom balm not being the same as the original one. The first time you order from them you get the "Real" one then the 2nd jar will be full of hard lumps and impossible to spread on baby's bottom and doesnt even smell like the original.
Now I'm wary of amazon sellers because some of them try to pass on fakes as originals

I haven't had an issue with the substitution of a fake item for a real one, but I did have a quality issue in that an electronic item was no longer working after a month's use. It was about a month's worth of email correspondence after I returned the item, but they issued a refund for my item.

This makes me sad--bottom balm is one of the things on my amazon registry! I don't completely trust all sellers, but so far I haven't purchased much stuff (other than books/DVDs) from Amazon. I can see how there is the potential for getting screwed over on baby stuff; I did consider that when Ergo shopping.

I've ordered pump parts and the sellers have shipped me the pieces in zip lock sandwich bags...not in the original packaging. The parts were ok and I sterilized them but I won't order again!

I've had some issues here and there but Amazon themselves are always so great with customer service that I don't worry. I've always gotten my money back
@autumnlove: I was looking to order Medela pump parts and when I read some reviews that they weren't actually Medela, I opted to just pay more and get them from the medela site.
