I'd like to get a little playset for our daughter for Christmas. Or, I'd like her grandparents to get her one. 
What playset do you have? I'm thinking a slide and a swing would be enough and it doesn't have to be fancy but I'd love to see/hear what you have!

We have 2 swings hung up under the deck and then a stand alone slide in the yard - that's it! The kids are fine with it. Our backyard is kinda on a hill so we don't really have room for a huge playset

I want to buy mine a nice swing set so badly, but they are EXPENSIVE (like over $1000!!!!) so I'm not sure when we will do that.... We don't own this, but a friend does and my kids have fun on it (though it is certainly for younger kids, like younger than 3)

My in-law's generously gifted LO with a swing set. Initially they wanted to buy a cheap one from TRU, but I wanted to invest in a higher quality set that would last a long time. We went with the play set offered at Costco this past summer. It was $1k but dropped down to $800 after instant rebate, which is a great price. LO loves it, and I have a feeling that both kids will get a lot of use out of it for years to come.

My in laws already offered to buy LO a nice playset when we are ready for one. I think we will wait another year or two and get a nice wood one that will keep for years and years.

@MamaBehr: yeah, I saw ones like that one, too. I want to make sure when we spend the money, we're only spending it once, ya know? I also want her to be able to swing with friends so, we will need two swings.

@mediagirl: We have the one @MamaBehr posted and E loves it now at 17 months, but I don't see it lasting us much longer. He enjoys the the climb up slide thing by himself, but the swing is pretty dinky and doesn't interest him much. We got it for $40 off craigslist though, so I'm not too disappointed.
I think we'll invest in a nice wooden one when he gets a little older.

We have a little tikes stairs/slide/sandbox combo that we got at costco this past summer for their first bday. It was about $60. I figure it will last another year or so since it's a reasonable size.
My dad is going to help us build a wooden a-frame swingset for this coming summer. We got the swings from a friend, and have some of the lumber already, so it shouldn't be too expensive.

No, but my parents have a wooden swingset at their house and she loves it.
I found a free disassembled one on craigslist about an hour ago, but it's 3.5 hours away from me
Not sure we'd save any $$ in diesel to go pick it up.

@yin: we got ours from Costco this year too. I love that it came with a DVD instruction manual. I also love the little picnic table that came with it...LO loved eating outside this summer
@mediagirl: it's so nice having a playset in the backyard. I loved having one this summer bc the kids would just run around and play while the adults could grill and enjoy their dinner/drinks. And now that's it rainy and cold it's nice bc we don't have to walk to the neighborhood park and try to dry off the slides and carry wet towels back home. It's so easy to just go out back and swing and climb for awhile and come inside quickly if it starts raining or feels too cold. Also, one of us can play with her while the other preps dinner.
