We have two kids and two car seats... we use them when we go camping or rent a Zipcar to do errands.
Do you have more car seats than kids?

We have one kids but own *3* carseats. We have an infant bucket (with two bases), which is currently retired. We also have two convertible seats -- one for each car. It seems pretty silly when you think about it, but it's the only way that things really work out for us.

yes! one kid and 3 car seats - his infant one which he has outgrown and we are saving for a future LO. Now we use 2 convertibles - one for each car since we have to split day care pick ups/drop off.

Yep! We have one kid at the moment and one infant and two convertible! Soon we'll have two kids and the same number of car seats, but eventually we'll have four convertibles for our two kids!

1 kid, 4 car seats. Yikes.
3 convertible (one in each car and one in my moms car), and an infant seat. The infant seat is in storage though.

Yuppers. One for each car. If we didn't then we wouldn't be able to share pick up/drop off daycare duties.

Yup! 3 carseats and 2 kids (1 carseat is in DHs car and 2 in mine). We also have 2 baby bucket seats no longer in use and 2 more in the grandparents cars.

Yep... 1 kid, 5 carseats that we technically own.
We have the retired infant bucket seat. 1 in my car, 1 in DH's car, 1 in my parents car locally and one that we keep at DH's parents house since we have to take a walk on ferry to get there, so can only bring what we can carry in our hands.

1 LO, 4 seats! 1 bucket, 3 convertible (my car,
DH's car, and the nanny's car). We were recently gifted two booster seats and though she won't be in that for a while, we technically have (6!) if you include those as well.
