My husband thinks it's weird that I bought new outfits for thanksgiving. Surely I can't be the only one? I'm going to put a poll. Also show pics if you have them please.

I voted dressy, because her thanksgiving outfit--chambray dress and tights--is more dressy than her usual onesie and knit pants. She's only 3 months, so comfy was still the priority.

We do very cute casual. My boys are tough on clothes but they have to look cute. These shirts with skinny jeans and high top converse style shoes.

I guess I'll post my kids outfits. The dress and fur vest is for my daughter, the girl pants and sweater is for my son.

@anonysquire: I got them from a local (to me) momma. She was able to rush them for me. Their shop does awesome Star Wars and Harry Potter things as well.

We dress up. Not like Easter or Christmas but J & my husband will wear button down shirts and sweaters and I have a dress.
(I change J into Thanksgiving PJs sometime after dinner and before we leave my parents' house)

We don't do thanksgiving but for other festivals (Christmas, Easter, birthday dinners) we totally dress up.

@MrsRcCar: I love those shirts!
We do casual, though the last couple years, I got Thanksgiving onesies. Logan's going to wear a hand-me-down one this year, and Xander will probably just wear a regular shirt.

We do casual. The last time I was able to dress my son up was his first Easter, he wore a button down and a vest my mother in law knit.
He won't tolerate fancy clothing, lol.

Dressy is overstating it, but we dress up a little. My girls are wearing these outfits:

@MrsRcCar: omg I love those sweaters!!!! Where are they from? I wished I seen these earlier.
ETA: does she sell online?

I didn't buy anything special but he will be more dressy than a normal day. He dresses pretty casually most of the time so I like an excuse to dress him up a little bit!

She will be "dressed up." She has a reversible jumper from Shrimp and Grits with a pumpkin on it that she will wear with a collared white shirt and leggings.

Casual dressy. My mom bought her a dress but it's not too dressy. Off white with a turkey on it.

DS will not be wearing sweatpants, so for us that means dressy! He'll likely be in khakis and a sweater or button up with his Velcro strap converse.

@rattles: that maroon dress, I did not see it when I was there, I'm loving it!
I'd say dressy/casual. Cotton dresses with leggings/tights and boots.

I'd say somewhere in between. My younger DS is wearing a corduroy longall with a turkey (similar to this) and old DS will wear a button down with a sweater and either khakis or jeans. Definitely more casual than Easter or Christmas.

DS is wearing a smocked longall with turkeys on it. I don't know if I'd consider it dressed up because he's wearing a whale version of the same outfit today

Our family is super casual. I always put them in comfy clothes, they will be getting messy and playing with their cousins.

I haven't decided if they are going to go casual Thanksgiving clothes (Carters onesies) or a dress and sweater. They are messy eaters, which is my only hesitation wth fancy clothes. Either way, I still like to get new things for them for holidays.

A little dressier than normal, but not like special event dressy. A nice sweater and khakis.

Probably just regular clothes. She has this adorable purple owl romper from Gymboree that I'll probably put her in.

We dress up b/c this is when we take holiday card picture but that's pretty much the only reason.

@jape14: We need to do a picture thread tomorrow on FB!
I guess we are doing fancy? He dresses "fancy" I suppose every day, though. I have a boy and I know that my dressing days are numbered.
He's wearing a Vive La Fete bubble with turkeys on it. I'm a little worried about the weather, but I suppose that's what knee socks are for.

@rattles: my daughter just wore that dress for her birthday party, so cute!

@LBee: yes, definitely! I am sitting here talking to my dad and was just saying that I like the cutesy outfits bc I know it's time-limited. he said "yeah, they're cute for now, but 5 years down the road he'd get beat up in kindergarten for wearing that!"

Kinda dressy? I plan to put him in a zip sweater and jeans.

Casual. I didn't buy anything special for the kids this year.

@regberadaisy: @Mamaof2: yes she does!! I will walk you guys the link when I get home tonight!

We're dressing casual since we're staying home. We would dress up more if we were going to see family. DD is wearing something new, but she wears a lot of new clothes right now since she just moved up a size and its starting to cool off.
