I memorized this whole speech for Bee but she said that as soon as I broke out the engagement ring, she couldn't hear anything I said. If I had known that, I wouldn't have spent all that time writing my whole speech about how much I love her, blah blah blah.
Do you remember what your SO said when he or she proposed? Or if you proposed, does your SO remember what you said?

He didn't actually say anything, lol! We were playing scrabble one night after coming home from a date night and already in pjs. I got up to get something and when I came back, he had spelled "marry me" out on the board with the ring on top of the letters, so he was just sitting there smiling and we both started laughing! We'd been talking about it for awhile but he wanted to surprise me in the moment, and he definitely succeeded!

He wrote everything in a card. I read the card and then turned around and he was down on one knee with the ring. He said he knew he wouldn't get through it if he tried to say it. I think once I turned around he said something like, "So will you?" and dopey me blurted out, "You know it!" Ha ha.

I remember where we were and what we were doing but definitely don't remember what he said. I know he didn't have a big speech that he practiced though so I don't feel bad!

Nope! I remember we were in a restaurant in Lisbon where the tables were so close together that he didn't have room to get down on one knee but I have no idea what he said. I do remember I said "Really?!?!"

I remember opening up a Christmas gift which was a really big box. I think that there was a card in it that said "Say Yes." In the process of looking at the paper, he got down on one knee and proposed. My parents took pictures of the whole thing.

I don't remember exactly what he said, but I remember I thought he was about to break up with me.
We'd been talking about what we wanted to get in order before we got engaged, so when I got to his house that day and he started talking about the importance of family and what not, I had a feeling someone in his family had asked him for money and our timeline was being pushed back and he was telling me he wasn't going to propose. Either that or he was going to break up with me because he was SO serious. He made me sit down immediately for a serious talk, and that was so not like him.

I remember what he said until the moment I realized what he was doing, we were on vacation at he pulled me aside to look at the view and asked if I thought it was a good vacation so far- I said yes, and he said, how about we make it even better? Lol- then I knew and the rest is a teary, giggly blur.

Ours was an impromptu proposal in the car in front of the Holland Tunnel entrance (major artery between NJ and NY) on New Year's Day. We had spent the previous night at his best friend's house cooking dinner for them because they had 2-week-old twins. He was completely hung over! I think he just said, "Will you marry me?" I'm not sure what inspired it but maybe it was hanging out with the babies?
Then we stopped for ramen before going to his mom's house (as scheduled). And we went ring shopping together the next day.
We didn't tell anyone we were engaged until my engagement ring was ready a few weeks later.

The only thing I remember him saying is some variation of "god damnit, will you just sit still and listen to me for two seconds?!" ...whoops, haha!
In my defense it was kind of cold outside and I REALLY had to pee!!

I do remember ... he wrote out a list of important dates from our relationship - the last being "and today, I'm asking you to be my wife." It was really cute. Plus, we were on the ferris wheel on Navy Pier, so it was really beautiful.

This is kind of embarrassing, but I think DH tried to propose to me twice. The first time, it was Valentine's Day and he'd gotten me a book called "Choose to be Happily Married." I didn't really ask him what he meant by it, but in my defense it had been a rough day... I'd been up crying all night before because I accidentally signed up to work late on Valentine's Day and we had to scrap our plans to spend the evening together. I was so glad that he'd stayed up late waiting for me anyway! And then he proposed a month later and spelled it out to me this time

he asked while we were sitting on a beach in mexico we weren't 100% sure we were supposed to be on and we saw someone walking up so he romantically said, "before we get in trouble will you marry me?" turns out the woman walking on the beach didn't care at all so we continued to sit on the beach afterwords soaking up the initial being engaged bit

No clue. He had my mom help with the surprise proposal and she took over in the moment. He ended up proposing in front of a waterfall she insisted we walk to and I couldn't hear.

I have absolutely no idea what he said... And I feel terrible because he apparently made and memorized a whole big speech and proposed at my college graduation in front of my whole family and all my friends. I do however remember that I said "Oh shit are you proposing now?" 
and then I said yes. I was not expecting him to do it then and I was completely in shock. My mom tells me it was a lovey proposal though

I don't remember much of anything except him telling me, "you're ruining this for me!" Haha. He was trying to get me to go into the middle of the rotunda in our capital building (our first date), but I was resisting. Lol.

We kind of just agreed to marry while watching TV. Then we took a walk in the woods and he asked when it would be a good time to marry ... no, I think he said "autumn would be a good time to marry". I agreed 
We got married in autumn the following year.
