yes! i love paper books.

I did up until two weeks ago when I got my Kindle. However, even then I mostly borrowed books. I love that there will be less clutter now, the books I do have take up a lot of space. I'm wondering what I should do with them since I never re-read books.

@swedishfish: Oh yes, we have at least 300 children's books and I buy them all. I only buy them used though and they are .50-$1.50 for practically brand new popular books, I love it!

If it is a school book or reference type book I like the hard copy because I may be flipping back and forth or turning to certain sections. I bought my pregnancy books in paperback for this reason. Most novels or narrative nonfiction I read on my kindle, but there have been a few books that I read on the kindle that I wish I could put on my shelf because I loved them.

I buy academic books in hard copy, but don't buy physical copies of books that I'm reading for fun anymore because I have waaaay too many academic books!

Only the ones I really like and read over and over. I don't like having too much stuff. I don't see the point of keeping a bunch of things I'll likely never use again in my house.

@mrbee: Oh, there's no room for books. We live in the tiniest of apartments. Our living room is one big bookshelf. I bought 21 physical books last year (doesn't include the parenting books) and 10 e-books. Not to mention the few books I picked up off stoops. I may have a problem

We buy books pretty frequently. We only ever read physical books, and almost every book we read is one we have bought for ourselves. When we run out of room we choose books to donate.

I have a kindle but I still prefer physical books. I love relaxing in the tub with a book!
